Whitney Houston, One of the most iconic singers ever to give life to a microphone has passed away today at age 48. The singer reportedly died in Beverly Hills,Ca but details or cause of death were not immediately given.

A complete understatement would be to say she was JUST a wonderful singer and not an all around talent. Houston's vocalistic ability will never be matched. Our prayers are with her family.

Drake's new album "Take Care" is on track to be the third best meteor to strike the music industry's first week sales (Lady Gaga's "Born this way" at 1.1m, and Lil' Wayne's "Tha Carter just over a million) at 675k-725k, the question of Drake's popularity among fans is easily answered, but is the growth into one of the most sought after artists in the music industry seen here?

So, With my mental ready for 18 hard shots of the "Drake/40 sound" plastered throughout this entire album with no chaser, tagged with a bunch of "I made it"s and so on, I was pleasantly surprised at the growth zone Drake has fallen into.

Paying homage to his love for Southern Hip Hop on many songs throughout the album, notably zeroing in on the Houston "Chopped and Screwed","Draped and Dripped" or basically "Screwed" sound in creative ways. "Over my dead Body" shows the last 10 seconds sampling a mix of UGK "3 in da morning" as well as ESG Swangin' and Bangin'. (the original 94' version") Other's being "Underground Kings" & "Take A Shot For Me" which sampled a slowed version of SWV's "Anything". This definitely shows the Growth within the creative ear of Drake's camp.

Lyrically showing the need to dodge the "Sophomore jinx", along with showing that yes, Drake has talent in abundance, he hits the maturity nail on the head with songs like "HYFR", "We'll be Fine",and the Just Blaze produced, "Lord Knows" ft Rick Ross. Lyrics like:

I’m hearing all of the jokes, I know that they tryna push me/I know that showin’ emotion don’t ever mean I’m a p*ssy/Know that I don’t make music for n*ggas who don’t get p*ssy/So those are the ones I count on to diss me or overlook me/

Shows this album has plenty of highlights, and a couple lows. One of the major flaws of the album has to be the title track "Take Care" Ft Rihanna. This spacious track shows each and every flaw of both Drake and Rihanna. But the "people's eyebrow" Raises at the bold attempt to slow Juvenile's "Back That Azz up" on "Practice". This complexity has to be broken down in 3 sections:

Drake's singing here...absolutely no, Drake's rapping..Yes, The tempo, melody, and all around track...I'm sorry but No. In my opinion slowing Juvenile's 504 classic and making it into a "Waltzing, dance, black tie affair", is like opting to have your hamburger blended to drink it. Wanna make it better? Take a couple steps back and listen to Andre 3000's verse on "The Real Her".

All in all a blunt explanation is what we get from each and every song on the album, bridging the gap between June 15, 2010 and Nov,15,2011, we get caught up to Drake's version of life and its interesting.

TMZ reports Rapper Heavy D has died today at 44.

Dwight Arrington Myers was rushed to an L.A. hospital around noon today, and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1 PM. It's reported that he died due to "respiratory issues.

Jamaican-American rapper Heavy D was front man of the 90's rap group "Heavy D & The Boyz" which featured G-Whiz (Glen Parrish), "Trouble" T. Roy (Troy Dixon), and Eddie F (born Edward Ferrell). The rapper was known for singing/rapping, his current dance moves, as well as his contributions to the intro of the television shows "In Living color", MADtv, as well as rapping on Michael Jackson's hit single "Jam" which video featured a cameo from Michael Jordan. Around 2009 Heavy D took his talents to the genre of Reggae music with releasing "No Matter What".

Myers' last performance was the 2011 BET hip hop awards. It was his first live performance in over 15 years. RIP Heavy D

Without checking her mouth at the door, Miranda Lambert has been on the minds of many with a release of "Hell On Heels" from Country girl group Pistol Annies (which debuted at #1 on the Country charts), and now the release of her fourth studio album "Four the record". Keeping with the VERY vivid lyrics Lambert is known for, this album tends to lack musical empathy in the form of strong vocals at times(Aka more push). Songs like "Safe" and "Dear Diamond" could have been taken to at least 3 different levels to give you the complete thrill of the beautifully written songs. "Mama's Broken Heart" gives you the Happy hour cocktail you need from Lambert, as previous songs make us mentally fly, here reality hits with a "2 snap demo" before "Drowning my thoughts at the expense of my liver" over a silhouette of crazy.

In actuality, this album is growth from 09's "Revolution" when it comes to analyzing the growth of a woman, as well as the want to get over previously out dated relationships. In "Over You" the perfect input of /How Dare You/ tagging along the realness of /I miss you/ is the intended brush fire that's a beautiful sight to see.

This album oozes sophistication, but tends to lack vocal strength at times, but keeping with the attitude Miranda is known for, it makes you question was vocal strength needed keeping with an attitude that shows you she can say "F it?" In my opinion, Yes, there's no better way to soften a four letter blow, than to accompany it with aggressively self-assured vocals.

Like a colony of bats that flock together and fly left, Wale attempts to break from the pack and go right with his latest release "Ambition". A generous amount of chips this rapper seems to have on his shoulder this time around, noticeably dropping them off with each new song. With his previous effort "Attention Deficit" selling a mere 66,000 copies as of Jan. 2010, with a single that featured the (then) fresh face Lady Gaga titled "Chillin'", Wale scraped the old directions and decided to start a new with Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group and Warner Bros. Records.

2. Desire and determination to achieve success.

There's absolutely no doubt Wale's been studying his craft in order to find his own way through this thing we call Hip Hop and it seems to be paying off. Adapting to his new surroundings with brighter songs including "Miami Nights" and the lemon fresh scent of "White Linen" Ft Ne-yo, throughout his lyrics, beats, and flow we can feel the spirit of an "Ah Ha" moment throughout this album.

The thing that would make this album without a doubt a sure win would be for Wale to understand looking to the future is to also know what you did right in the past,AKA story telling. Songs like "Lotus Flower Bomb" is where Wale shines, just as on "Attention Deficit" we got the clear visual of "90210" & "Diary", but here the story telling lacks which isn't a MUST but would be a wonderful accent regardless to what category the story is from.

All in all, I say check this one out, it would be a great addition to any album collection.

From the depths of the darken slumber comes the Queen of light. A weird, mild light that takes the term "light of dark" to another level. Vocals of a queen on "Shake it off" could be seen as her singing to her peers of the indie music scene just as Madonna took on "Evita" singing "Don't cry for me Argentina". It's true Florence + The Machine understands both sides.(Indie/major) A hard blow from the underside of your favorite fairytale comes Florence + The Machine's "Ceremonials"

It has to be something in the water that gave Florence the vocals to make an album so extreme yet, soft as a feather, landing on the pile of books that demolish the entire stack while fans and artists alike stand back smiling with the vague silence of inspiration.

Speaking to the revolutionary world we've never knew existed in music, "Ceremonials" shows growth and gives me the perplexed feeling on how "Off" vocals at times can be so so right. Freelance painting at its finest, this album shows what it is to have absolutely no pressure entering and exiting the booth.

Starting this album with "if Only for a night" zones you into their world with no choice, but the asking attitude of the entire album makes you feel better after hearing this music masterpiece; a 16 song "your welcome" so to speak. "Strangeness and Charm"(exclusive to the deluxe edition) shows the band at its best in my opinion. A soaring bridge, a strumming guitar added to drumming, and claps that were mixed so good everything sounds one, with Florence switching from head to chest vocals so simply says "take me now musical Gods" in one word...Excellent, in two words..fucking excellent!

Previously singing "The dog days are over" has to get a basic "True" when it comes to this album, "True" saying "Florence +The machine will without a doubt be looked at as the "Creme'De la Creme" of Alternative music from here on out, its as well as true that Ms. Florence has a voice that can't be compared to another.

"Mylo Xyloto", the fifth album from the British boys Coldplay, a complicated name yet so creative. So, in actuality who are Mylo & Xyloto? According to Chris Martin, the album is "based on a love story with a happy ending", in which two protagonists: Mylo and Xyloto, who are living in an oppressive, dystopian urban environment, meet one another through a gang called "The Lost Boys", and fall in love. The latest release from Coldplay turns out to be a love story, quite the contrary from its predecessor "Viva La Vida", where it was based more on war and revolutions. Since Coldplay's latest effort has been a long time in the making,does this one disappoint?

"Don't wanna see another generation drop,I'd rather be a comma than a full stop"

No, but if Coldplay's career were a sentence "Mylo Xyloto" would be that oh so significant comma that gives you no choice but to marvel at the progress they have made, along with the creative art beyond the horizon.

To have the abrupt thought that the sound of Coldplay's previous album "Viva la Vida or Death and all his friends",which to date has sold 2.8 million copies in the U.S. and was the best selling album of 08' would keep their sound stagnant...Think again.

In my opinion this album is a "soup kitchen" that has the ability to feed every music lovers soul. "Top Chef" Chris Martin took the initiative to turn up the heat in the "Worldly kitchen of music" with his growth, and pitch perfect control everywhere you turn here. The objective to mix new wave, some form of Congolese(See every teardrop is a waterfall), and Alternative is fabulous. Although the fight to make "Mylo Xyloto" flow, came in the form of "mini interludes" throughout this package, (that of which could be seen as "easy" being that Viva had the same plot) the Pain,love and heartache of this album couldn't be seen as anything but believable.

"My arms turn wings/All those clumsy things/Send me up to the wonderful world/And then I'm up with the birds/"

The ability to take us on a journey to another land with each coming of a new Coldplay album is a wonderful asset this band possess. Songs like "Paradise",where the blast of bass during the chorus opens your eyes like the first sight of of sun, the way the toe tapping beat builds during "Every teardrop is a waterfall" and rises to the occasion when the flaming guitar hits,gives you the visual of West African "Congo" dancing. "Major Minor" gives you the rock/country feeling of humble "Barnyard" beginnings, with rock star ambitions, but knowing the thought of eyes on you at all time turns out to be the major minus. This album gives you Mental stimulation if nothing else.

On August 24, 2011, Jobs announced his resignation as Apple's CEO and subsequently recommended Tim Cook to be his successor. As per his resignation letter request, Jobs was elected chairman of Apple's board of directors.

Regardless to if you love him, or you hate him, Jobs without a doubt revolutionized music. As a technician at Atari in the early 70's, Jobs hopeful beginnings had nothing to do with music but with much drive, and a fearless heart, in 2001 from the "digital hub" Category out popped the "iPod". The product which was developed in less than one year and unveiled on October 23, 2001, gave us a Mac-compatible product with a 5 GB hard drive that put "1,000 songs in your pocket."
Many imagined this product to be much more complicated than the bulky CD player you and I toted about around this time, but whispers of a non-skipping product caught our attention and ultimately our hearts.

"The Core" of Apple decided not to stop there but to give us a a partner to our new found friend the i-Pod..Introducing i-Tunes... in 2003 Jobs introduced a media player computer program, used for playing and organizing digital music and video files on desktop computers compatible with then i-Pod and i-Pod touch. A computer program that would soon give all music executives no choice but to adapt their business plans one page at a time, taking the free ideas of Napster & Limewire to a more upscale "pay only" plato. With digital dollar signs coming into play, not only would Steve jobs have something even more revolutionary than the i-Pod with i-Tunes, but much controversy hanging from the Apple tree ready for picking.

But Jobs showed no sign of slowing with in 2004 releasing the now best friend to many producers in the music industry..."Garage Band". Unveiled by Steve Jobs with assistance by John Mayer during the keynote speech at the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco on January 6, 2004. GarageBand is a streamlined digital audio workstation (DAW) and music sequencer, which can record and play back multiple tracks of audio. Built-in audio filters allow the user to enhance the audio track for recording guitar instruments, etc. The tuning system can also effectively imitate the dreadful auto-tune effect when tuned to the maximum.

Just a "regular" studio this could be seen as to the person "just purchasing a Mac Book" or just "playing around" with Garageband, but in actuality along with receiving your Macbook you get the luxury of playing around with a $800,000- $1,000,000 studio for just the price of the laptop.

One of the most valuable companies along with (who most consider) thee greatest business men of our lifetime, took the time to recognize music in many forms. So SAU give a standing ovation to the man who revolutionized the way we buy, hear, and make music.

As the ocean current came closer, a sudden gust of wind lightly grazed the sand. Wrapping her mind around the beautiful objects being washed ashore, an old favorite rang loud from her ipod, "Don't get around much anymore". Kicking up sand with a sly smile, she remembered how this classic jazz standard made famous by Duke Ellington in the 1940's made her feel free in her 1 bedroom apartment years ago. With the current version of that song done by Tony Bennett & Michael Buble' from Bennett's latest album "Duets II", a feeling of hope came along. As Buble' gets into his zone enunciating each and every word of this popular standard,along with the flavor Bennett adds, "How can this moment get any better?" She thought...

"Red Wine!". Stopping at a small cafe' she saw before her moment on the ocean, the lingering sunset set the mood for her even more. Red wine, sunset, Tony Bennett & Josh Groban, "This is all I ask" she thought. Josh Groban has to be one of the top 10 singers alive right now & to hear his soothing, yet oh so operatic vocals on this song featured on Frank Sinatra's 1965 album "September of my years" (An album on a beautifully aging man)"this has to be the end of my night she thought". As she sat there gazing at the curtain of sunset now being blanketed by the twinkle of stars, one line of this song stuck out in her mind, "Stars in the sky, make my wish come true before the night has flown".

Up until now she never realized she was alone, until a stuttering gaze across the table gave back the eerie silence she despised, "My life on a Friday night" "Typical" she thought.

"Hello" he said, as the cafe' now filled with lovers of the night coincidentally play "the way you look tonight", a cover from "Duets II" by Tony Bennett and Faith Hill, "Cheesy" she thought as she heard his thick creole voice. "Hi" she said.

"All alone tonight?" he asked. She realized he never left, as she became completely enthralled in Faith Hills glazed over vocals, She imagined herself dancing the night away with her Prince charming, only to awake to..This

It was only by this second chance she realized the honesty in eyes, the beauty in his face.."DAYUM he's fine" she thought, "another red wine?" he asked "yes please" She obliged.

As the night grew old and the conversation from politics, to her favorite music came and went with ease, "Body and Soul" featuring the prolific Amy Winehouse, & "Blue Velvet" Ft k.d. Lang christened the night, that was until the spunky "The lady is a tramp" ft the creative Lady gaga hit. She broke, took her soul out of the equation, and came to reality, Being that music is her first love, she took it in, saw a couple of problems with this one, but remembering Lady Gaga's background in Theater "that saved her...definitely helped her out on this one" She thought.

As the night came to an end she realized this guy completely took her heart. "Can I see you again?" he asked, Sly as ever, she took a napkin with a smudge of pink lipstick and the faint smell of red wine she used to wipe her mouth, wrote her number, and with the swirl of the ocean she was gone.

He watched the swirling of her purse as she walked away whistling "It had to be you" Ft Carrie Underwood. "Excuse me!" he motioned to the waiter, "here's 20 bucks thanks for playing the album man" "Anytime" the waiter said. "This one's for my baby, and this one's for the road".

SAU this one is a classic album, no grade just go get this one!

Official SAU Report Card Lady Antebellum "Own The Night"

The "Tennessee Titans", Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood,& Hillary Scott aka Lady Antebellum, have released their third effort titled "Own The Night". With a slight slip in sales (although projected to hit # 1 next week) with sales around 275k-300k compared to their MONSTER previous album "Need You Now" hitting 481k in the first week, what separates "Need You Now" from "Own The Night"? In my opinion the lack of prolific melodies. It's one thing to have beautiful, compelling, lyrics of reasonable real life relationship problems that the average couple deal with, but adding to that cup of beautiful lyrics you need a splash of melodic diversity each and every time.

At times listening to "Own The Night" sounds like one big song, but with the actual flow of the album, it could be reminiscent of that beautiful country "story telling" staple that keeps the listeners ears.

"Lady A", the trio that's a power ballad's "casa", stay on the straight and narrow with songs like "Just A Kiss", and the title track "Own The Night", but an actual push in Hillary's vocals are not seen here. Dreamy thoughts through lovers eyes completely let us know the trio will work this album until it reaches higher status regarding sales, also that this is a pretty solid album, but to give "Lady A" a swift push to a world of vocal/melodic fertilizer is what's needed here.

New Music: Coldplay "Paradise"

Deep organ keys,accompanied by the beautiful humming of violins, dropping into a synth heavy beat, greets us into the walkway of Coldplay's new single "Paradise" from their highly anticipated fifth album "Mylo Xyloto" due October 24th.

The song, which I view as a "spirited painting", is one that has many repetitive (almost limerick in aabb form) lyrics, this being because in my opinion the object of "Paradise" is seen differently through everyone's eyes, but to actually see "Paradise" in another person's eyes is difficult to convey to the lyrical mental, hence the repetitive lyrics: "When she was just a girl/ She expected the world/ but it flew away from her reach/,along with the many references to "She" to get the point across. Simple, but oh so brilliant! This wonderful one shows that the long wait for Coldplay's new album didn't seem that long after all.

In other Coldplay news, the band is expected to perform at the iHeart music festival in Las Vegas Sept 23rd & 24th. Other acts include Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Steven Tyler,Carrie Underwood,Jane's Addiction, John Mayer Nicki Minaj, and many more.

Official SAU Report Card Red Hot Chili Peppers "I'm With You"

"this is a new band. Same name, but it's a new band."- Chad Smith (Drummer for RHCP)

That same name is what made many people pick up the latest release of Red Hot Chili Peppers' new album "I'm With you". 5 years, 5 years without the experimental Rock, mixed with Funk Rock, a dash of disco, and that special irie feeling which now takes us back to the loading space the Peppers call home. With the addition of guitarist Josh klinghoffer it brings the Red hot Chili Peppers back to a feeling they haven't had since the early 80's...Vulnerability.

Without a doubt that's how we start out this album. "Monarchy of Roses" takes the thought of "The Queen" being your one and only in comparison to the highest form of a flower, The Rose. Knowing the Rose is the most special flower among the others they do contain thorns, hence the line "Mary wants to build it up/ but Sherry wants to tear it all back down/" A genius way to compare "your Queen" or women in general to roses, as well as a creative way to start an album out.

Keeping with the signature sound RHCP are known for, songs like "Ethiopia" & "Factory Of Faith" Which has snares seemingly to keep our ears on the "look out" for each and every sound that make up these devious songs Mr. Rick Rubin eagerly punched us in the face with, The general feeling of this album has to be one of "If it ain't broke,don't fix it.

Compelling lyrics and a campfire tune that sticks to your brain as a bandage on the gash of music is what you get on "Brendan's Death Song". Spoken word yelled on roof top of a jazz bar make up "Even you Brutus?" as Kiedis progresses his inner thoughts as only spoken word with a twist of "pissed off-ness" can.

But the widespread of genres making up this album doesn't stop there, "Did I Let You Know" A mash up of that irie feeling stated above with features from a tickled trumpet, roaring guitar, and tip toeing vocals are attention worthy.

"Happiness Loves Company"- Cheerful indeed, this songs has all the makings of the 1967 Hit song "Happy Together" by the Turtles. Drunken Lyrics like "Half blinded I'm reminded how to find the stairs/Nickel and Dime I Think its time to play some musical chairs/",further show this band understands the idea of expansion.

Regardless to if you think your uncle who's been bragging about the Red Hot Chili Peppers since the early 80's is cool or not, this album shows he just might have an idea what he's been talking about all this time, and to take a brief listen would do your ear buds some justice.

Official SAU Report Card Lil Wayne " Tha Carter IV"

And now he's here.."Tha Carter IV" which has seen many set backs from jail time, to just plain ol' release date problems hit i-Tunes at 12am 8-29-11. With a "Brand new Attitude", Wayne tries his best attempt at growth but appears stagnant in some forms, showing that his past effort "Tha Carter III" still remains the musical highlight of his career thus far.

Going into an album that you expect to be a complete upgrade from the last edition of "Tha Carter", we actually get a mediocre "rap album" at best. Noticeably different from this album compared to earlier presentations has to be the wordplay. Checking out Wayne's background, you can see in a great abundance that the "Lil One" had a full dictionary at his disposal, but using lines like "I'm a sight seer/Now let me see it" as he did on the song " So Special" Ft John Legend as well as "You don't need a buss pass/you need a bust yo' ass" on "Blunt Blowin" shows the regression in every way.

Taking songs like "John", which is basically a 2011 rendition of Rick Ross' 2010 song "I'm Not A Star" from his "Teflon Don" Album with an extra beat behind it is very lazy and well...a cheap way to get a hood classic that already was.

High points on the album include "Interlude" Ft Andre 3000 and the cryptic underrated artist Tech N9ne who blasts on the scene of the song with a wisp of wind, that you can't understand was there...until he's gone. As well as the beat of "Abortion" slashing off the transitionally fucked first :18 secs of the song, where it takes 50 rewinds, a translator from China, and a cup of coffee including 10 "Sweet N' Lows" to ponder on as you rewind.

This album as a whole lacks "Songs" and thunderous beats to where it lays an easy platform for the rapper to go completely bonkers on. "How To Love" which is a wonderful song has no platform to stand on within this album which makes me wonder should it have gone to someone else? There's no doubt Wayne has fans that will completely support this edition of "Tha Carter" which is a wonderful thing to stand on, but the fact of the matter is once again, this album "Tha Carter IV" is just a mediocre "Rap Album" at best.

With digital dollar signs coming into play, not only would Steve jobs have something even more revolutionary than the i-Pod with i-Tunes, but much controversy hanging from the Apple tree ready for picking.

But Jobs showed no sign of slowing with in 2004 releasing the now best friend to many producers in the music industry..."Garage Band". Unveiled by Steve Jobs with assistance by John Mayer during the keynote speech at the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco on January 6, 2004. GarageBand is a streamlined digital audio workstation (DAW) and music sequencer, which can record and play back multiple tracks of audio. Built-in audio filters allow the user to enhance the audio track for recording guitar instruments, etc. The tuning system can also effectively imitate the dreadful auto-tune effect when tuned to the maximum.

Just a "regular" studio this could be seen as to the person "just purchasing a Mac Book" or just "playing around" with Garageband, but in actuality along with receiving your Macbook you get the luxury of playing around with a $800,000- $1,000,000 studio for just the price of the laptop.

One of the most valuable companies along with (who most consider) thee greatest business men of our lifetime, took the time to recognize music in many forms. So SAU give a standing ovation to the man who revolutionized the way we buy, hear, and make music.

In a visual attempt to show the correct way to propel a hit single, Lil Wayne recently released the official video to his obvious hit "How To Love". Better Late than Never, the visual goes deep into a particular woman's life ultimately showing "If she knew how to love" her life would end up completely different.

Obviously Contradistinctive from other videos Wayne has released in the past, this video has meaning, this video has much heart and soul. Now although just released, one can only ponder about the thought of Wayne going from lyrics & videos with depth, to his latest single "She Will" Ft Drake coasting with lyrics: "Now Gon' Pop that Pu**y for a real Ni**a". Wayne has the potential to absolutely screech on his way to sophistication throughout his lyrics, but in my opinion its not only a form of growth, but a versatile ever-growing fan base.

With Wayne gaining country wide appeal from 04's "Tha Carter", (Which if you ask a person from his hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana was his best effort to date) the growth to "The Carter II" lyrically blew us out the water from "Tha Mobb" to "Hustler Musik" gaining him much notoriety, and for the moment stamping "Best Rapper Alive" on each and every feature Wayne flowed on. The question of "what's next" came answered in the form of "The Carter III" ("lollipop","A Milli","Mrs. Officer") when Wayne gained world wide success selling 1 million copies in the first week. Since then "We Are Young Money", "Rebirth" and "I'm Not A Human Being" have passed, but getting back to "The Carter" series keeps us questioning....We soon shall get our answers.

One half of the Motown duo Asford & Simpson (Nick Ashford) has reportedly died of complications from throat cancer August 22, 2010. The duo that wrote and produced hits for the likes of Marvin Gaye & Tami Terrell, Aretha Franklin, and Ray Charles got their big break as performers in the mid 60's as a gospel group, but their most well-known written songs remain "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" (Marvin & Tammi), "You're All I Need To Get By" , "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing", and "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand) (Diana Ross)"

In the early 70's, along with taking the step to get married, the duo resumed their career with the Warner Bros records. Taking their already illustrious careers to the next level they released "Gimme Something Real". This was followed by the hit singles, "Don't Cost You Nothin'" (1977), "It Seems To Hang On" (1978), "Is It Still Good to Ya" (1978), "Found a Cure" (1979), "Street Corner" (1982), and their biggest hit, "Solid," released in 1984.

"Solid" topped the U.S. R&B chart, peaking at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, and peaking at number three on the UK Singles Chart in 1985. It was the 16th best-selling single of 1985 in the UK.

The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie' is the first single to be lifted from the band's upcoming tenth studio album I'm With You, which will be released in the UK on August 29 and the US on August 30.

Samples galore, + Socially conscious content,and just a tad bit of "asshole-ism",equals this highly anticipated album "Watch The Throne" by Jay-Z and Kanye West. Surprising alone that an album of this massive magnitude DID NOT leak. (insert clap/thought) Revealed about ten months ago that this started from a thought aiming for reality,the album is officially here.

Starting off, this album in my personal opinion isn't one you can grasp in its entirety with one listen being that it's basically 2 of the biggest rap artists of our generation. First thought would be to give it a "WOW" because of just that. About 3 listens later, we have many highs, yet a couple of lows, but we start with "No Church In The Wild". A radical beat hits us with a vague sense of softness. The first feature of the album being Frank Ocean, gives you the "If a tree falls in the forest scenario" relaying the question "what's a God to a non believer". How this beat was structured, along with many on the album, give you the option to hear them many different ways. A disappointment at times coming in the form of both artists who proceed to take the "easy way out", or basic train of ear going into this song, and many songs on this album flowing right above the beat and not letting the beats weave in and out through their vocals, showing the different ways you can hear them. Although that could come with a negative punch, "No church In the Wild" is a very good way to set up the rest of the album, almost as a heads up to what's next.

We "Lift Off" to the next song featuring Beyonce'. Now, this might be my personal "problem" when it comes to Beyonce'/Kanye West collaborations, but whenever they do decide to collab it underwhelms. You have vocals that can do just about everything, but West corners Beyonce's vocals yet again. On "Lift Off" we stick to the same "we made it" lyrics just as "My beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy"'s "See Me now". But pretty OK song,and very nice tempo.

The *Tunnel Tracks and samples continue with "Ni**as In Paris" which could be seen as just a filler until the transition happens, and brings light to the song. "Otis", a soulful dinner within itself, shows Jay-Z and Kanye's skills tip the meter,with the "past the ball" technique that simplify features on an album for everyone after.

The Arabian inspired "Gotta have It" lets James Brown's "People,Get Up and Drive your funky soul (remix)" sample lead the way. Showing samples in a very positive light this one does, Mixing an Arabian beat, along with the soulful sample, turning it into a hip hop track could be considered genius in some aspect.

No"*Tunneling" to get to the "RZA" connect "New Day" where a deep in thought Kanye West gets his point across of the "New Day" being changing some things in his past, but all together comes off as mediocre at best.

Through the next 3 songs our musical high coasts, sometimes hitting below average, that is until "Murder To Excellence" hits. When "Murder To Excellence" hits...It Hits. A double sample beat that shows the *tunnel track idea come fully to life. We get a 1/2 and 1/2 beat, with the second half sizzling into and sampling the "Shaving scene" from the Quincy Jones musically arranged "Color Purple". Socially inclined rappers taking the beat to the next level, with topics ranging from Wars, success, religion and Black on Black Murder. very Nice by all parties involved.

"Made In America" continues the religion topic with a soothing Frank Ocean singing "Sweet baby Jesus/We made it in America". A wonderful topic that could've been relayed just a tad bit better.

Ending this album with the screaming, synthesizing beat of "Why I love You" ft Mr. Hudson. The beat gets a negative, but in actuality Mr.Carter showed up, and showed out on this track, Ending the album with showing that his skills are still in tact made the song start low, but end high in every way.

All in all the anticipation of "Watch The Throne" lived up to the expectation 85% of the way. Many highs, and a few bumps, but most definitey, the challenge that the two put themselves right in the middle of deserves a grade A. To make a basic album with basic hardcore rap beats would be expected, but the line they attacked makes us all question where can Jay-Z and Kanye West go from here?

But what if the pain in music hit you so hard, you had no choice but to humble yourself within the swaying of the "Trenchtown Rock" king of Reggae himself, and let the emotions flow? Who'd be behind you soothing your soul with your new found soundtrack to life? Adele.

With her debut album "19" perking your ears up like a canine hearing a brief new sound, but shaking it off as a coincidence, "21" has to be the complete "BOOM" that makes the dog howl. With "21" being certified by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) at ten times platinum, denoting domestic shipments in excess of three million units adding that to now 12 nonconsecutive weeks at number 1 on the Billboard 200...say it with me folks..OWWWWWW!

When asked about the emotions felt when the complete album "21" arrived on his desk, Simon Cowell told SAU "It was such a great collection of music tied in together. The perfect marriage of pain, sorrow, heartbreak, and hope. Her voice delivers excruciating lyrics in a beautiful way. As a concrete rose. Especially in terms of the music industry, she sticks out like a sore thumb."

An unexpected bloom for sure being that Adele's "21" peaked at number 1 in over 5 countries including Ireland, Australia, Canada, and Germany. There seems to be no stopping this gush of aqua deeply nurturing an impoverished industry. But how did we get here? A wonderful album has to hit its mark with much force, but adding to that it needs all around great production and writing.

SAU spoke to the man Ms. Adele credits for helping her "tackle her emotions head on" Mr. Rick Rubin. When asked how Adele tapped into the pain, Mr. Rubin responded " Well Before the actual album you hear now, it was an entirely different album But when Michael Sanders and myself collaborated on the songs, and I received the final songs Adele was to sing, she seemed a tad bit intimidated. I sat her down and explained that these songs were tailored especially for her no one else, but its your job to go get it, and I believe she did just that."

A songwriter on 99% of the album Michael Sanders explained "transitioning from "19" to "21" was different. Adele was trying to find herself on "19" he said, going into the album "21" we knew where we wanted to go, but the car broke down a couple of times. I actually heard a quote from someone that said "I don't want to feel like I'm on my way to a funeral listening to her album" we had to take that into account. So the album was structured around soulful heartbreak instead of plain ol' heartbreak which I think Adele could sing getting out of bed in the morning."

The Highly praised second single "Someone Like You" continues her critical acclaim without a shadow of a doubt, but to know an album of so much praise could have quickly gotten looked over with "Rolling In The Deep" debuting fairly low in the states, The push of a single shows the statement "One and Done" still has meaning.

The group is composed of seven musicians, some who are members of other bands, collaborate on experimental acoustic folk and synthesizer-based sounds. Some members work with other established bands, including Molly Sarle and Amelia Meath of Mountain Man. The music has experimental rhythms in which multiple meters are superimposed on one another so that "each song can be felt in different time signatures." The group performs with numerous effects pedals, numerous synthesizers, and a Rhodes keyboard.

The many different sound that make up this band is actually...well what makes up this band. Experimenting with different sounds, and switches, along with the lead singer's vocals that add to the different feel of this alternative,indie,dream pop,earthy sound. Worth listening to the entire song.

Since up and coming artist/writer Frank Ocean has his song "Novacane" sitting comfortably at number 17 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Charts, people want a little more. This artist chose the perfect piece(regardless to if its old,new or a refrence track) to share with his fans to let them know he's most definitely "Thinking About You. With his first Mix tape "Nostalgia,Ultra" released to the flow of critical acclaim back in February, a keen eye has been kept on this member of Odd Future.

The latest song "Thinking About You" shows a mild mannered Ocean giving strong falsetto, with a chorus echoing of what's next. listening to his style of writing which he obviously does himself,the word "sarcastic" comes to mind. Lyrics like:

"No I don't like you,/ I just thought you were cool/ enough to kick it Got a beach house/ I can sell you in Idaho/ Since you think I don't love you,/I just thought you were cute/ thats why I kissed you got a fighter jet/ I don't get to fly /and though I'm lying down thinking bout' you/

Shows that although this song could seem "off" in some way, with how the bars break down,the way he approached this simple beat with a sarcastic ability, stayed on track, mellowed it out, and got us to where he thought we needed to be in his musical mind, made for a nice song. Very creative this guy.

It looks like Ms. Kelly Rowland is back and making a statement with her new release "Here I Am". With a more careful and steady approach on this one, Kelly shows her marinated smooth vocals with songs like "All Of The Night" and the sexy "Keep It Between Us". On this one Rowland's smooth sailing, and deep vocals keep your attention 100%, and her vulnerable vocals, accompanied by the "barely there" heart beat, has the opportunity from jump to capture you and wrap it's depth around you in every way. Very sexy, very carefully thought. Another thing that catches my attention is the simplicity of her background vocals here, it adds just enough flavor without going overboard making it a heavy dinner something light and fitting was needed and she gave just that. Attention to detail was added at the 2:15 mark where the producer could've easily brought the complete beat in but gave that one second delay that added an extra umph to the second chorus... Producers attention to detail either major or minor counts! Nice

R.I.P: Amy Winehouse Found Dead At 27....

Amy Jade Winehouse, A singer that stepped on the scene in 03' with her soulful debut "Frank", has been found dead at the age of 27 this morning. It is reported that at approximately 3:54 pm local time (BST, UTC+1) on 23 July 2011, two ambulances were called to Winehouse's home in Camden, London. Shortly afterwards, the Metropolitan Police confirmed her death. There is currently an open investigation to determine the cause of death, which is described by police as unexplained.

With this coming as a shock to many in the industry praying and hoping that the "Back To Black" singer would make a complete 360 and get back to giving us what she was meant to bring, Here at SAU we want to absolutely celebrate the music she left here with us. Last year I actually had the opportunity to have a nice chat with the singer before an interview at the beginning of the year, and I must say that not only was she the most welcoming person without the "Industry mentality" she also gave great words of inspiration at points. Below are excerpts from our conversation. RIP Amy Winehouse.

"4". A pretty simple number when it comes to most people, but true fans of Beyonce' must know this only means one thing. You guessed it! Beyonce's 4th album aptly titled "4" hits your shelves today. One can only wonder what to expect from this magical disc, or download that just so happens to blast Beyonce's latest material into your ears so, join us for a sit down...

At the press of a button, the album starts off with something that sounds foreign in this day and age, a ballad. The emotional "1+1" strips Beyonce' down from the on stage "prowess", to bare vocals that are so full, make you feel fully clothed. lyrics like: "When the world's at war/let our love heal us all", shows us a different side of Beyonce' that from play smells faintly of lyrical legacy. The ride continues with a woman scorn on "I Care". Solemn as can be beat wise, which matched the vocal pain without competing with the "story", that is until a bright light in the form of this chorus wakes the male listener up completely, and flows into Beyonce competing with a roaring guitar taking her vocal ability to another level, also the first sight of her ever growing vocal range.

We stay on complete cruise control through "I Miss You", & "Best Thing I Never Had", without having to turn on a signal, or switch to gas, being that one shows the same venerable Beyonce', and "Best Thing I Never Had" wakes up from her crying corner, and waves goodbye with a: "Thank God you blew it/thank God I dodged the bullet/I'm so over you/so baby good looking out/". But a fast, swift, and complete BRAKE comes when the Kanye West produced " Party" hits, and the memorization of the basic "ABC" song hit my cranium with every punch of this stale beat. Made me ask myself "was this 14 time Grammy award winning producer doing a song for "Girls Tyme"? or Beyonce the 16 time Grammy award winner?" To add a lately unseen, and very talented Andre 3000 in this mix of "plumfuckfoolery" was outrageous in every stretch of the imagination, and to act like the song isn't there would do a justice to the album as a whole. VERY lazy track.VERY lazy.

Moving on...With our ears back on track, "Rather Die Young"- a very sweet song that helps us over come the previous effort. this one's reminiscent of early puppy love, with a man that "drives to fast and smokes to much", but its nothing when you have a feisty Beyonce that's "addicted to the rush". Through this one Beyonce' continues to show vocal growth, weaving in and out through "Start Over". The Song "Countdown" Which starts off rocky, but reminds us of the older "B-day" Beyonce, helps us signal towards an exit until we hit the monster track, "End Of Time", Which is the strongest "single ready" song on the album hands down. The Jaw dropping Diane Warren penned "I Was Here" makes for a beautiful ending to complete the journey and we end where we began with " Run The World" (Girls).

With set back after set back, We finally get the visual for the first single from Beyonce's new album titled "4". The video (which is a choreographer's wet dream) starts off with dance moves that actually make you question the correlation between sight and sound, being that the dance moves actually make you hear the song differently... The beat hits harder, as well as the anthem of the song as a whole, absolutely mind blowing. This Francis Lawrence directed "pot of gumbo" serves up a steaming plate of Beyonce, showing that with a little fire and direction...she WILL blow up.

New Music: Beyonce' "Girls" (Who Run The World)

Mystery Photo shoots, accompanied by a mystery video shoot, lead us to believe the one we call "Queen B" was up to something. Welp, this mystery can now start the process of coming together, in the form of Beyonce's new single "Girls (Who Run The World). From Play we get a strong tribal/ drumline feel, that begins to quickly become a understatement when the sample by "Major Lazers" (which consists of Diplo and Switch) titled "Pon de Floor" hits, making the beat stick with you from the jump.

But... I found myself lost towards the middle of the song, being that the lyrical melody goes north, south, east, and west, never settling and finding a soothing home in our ears, almost as the lyrics and melody are competing with the beat. In my opinion you either have a "bangin'" beat, with the song melodically falling in line or vice versa, but on this one we get the screaming sample, drums that won't quit, a nice 'flag waving' chorus and then.... the rest of the song. Now although we have about 50 million sounds, melodies, and not to mention Beyonce's voice to listen to through this 3:48 song, everything about it screams female empowerment,and party. That mixed with one of the most infamous brands in music today, there's no doubt we'll be moving in our seats to it by Friday. Check it out Below...

This Jewel Ms. Adele...Not only is she on her way to her first number one U.S Album, with the release of her second album "21" (Which is expected to shift around 300k) but get this folks...The album is actually really amazing! Weird huh? Adele sang her ass off from number 1. "Rolling In The Deep" to what made me stop in my tracks and give a nice size "WOOOOOW" track #3 "Turning Tables". This song, which is now categorized as "My song", starts off with a beautiful piano melody that gets so good, the blade that connects from shoulder to neck might give way, when the sweet soulfulness that is Adele comes to carefully message away the beautiful pain of a piano melody aided by wild violins throughout the Chorus and Bridge. (Oh its that good folks)

Adele's voice has grown so much from her last album to now. I remember asking "how can this woman grow coming out of the box with what some might consider a classic album?" I guess she showed me... check out "Turning Tables"... beautiful!

"Y'all Can Kiss My Indecisive Ass"- Glorious Quote From Dr. Dre

With Dr. Dre being on a serious hiatus for so long, some people thought this day would never come, But yesterday, Dr. Dre released his second single from the long awaited "Detox" titled "I Need A Doctor" featuring long time protege' Eminem, as well as new comer & multi-instrumental singer, songwriter and record producer Skylar Grey.

Not expecting too much from this video, being that now a days you have a big song and the video suffers, Dr.Dre knocked it out of the park in my opinion. The date at the beginning of the video (February 18th 2001), was the date that NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, known as "The Intimidator" for his aggressive driving style, was killed in a crash During the Daytona 500 race. The video goes on to not only show pivotal days from Dr. Dre's life, but also shows him learning how to basically "walk again within music" ending it at the grave site of Eric "Eazy-E" Wright" (If you don't know him, look him up)...very creative direction.

The moral of this video is... not only is Dr. Dre showing that he is "The musical Intimidator" but that he's starting from ground zero within his craft, which many of you know can bring much more freshness and creativeness to a project...this album could potentially be a wonderful thing for the music industry, and hopefully come at the perfect moment, check out the video Here....

After letting the state of this industry settle approaching the 3rd month of the year (along with last night's Grammy's) I'm having a moment where I feel the need to say what's needed to be said for a minute now...

So I've been gone from this site about 2 months now, returning every now and again to say hello or what not, But the reality of why I haven't been posting is because...well there's really nothing to talk about. This music industry has been at a nice size halt since around the end of November and I pose this question: Why the wait? From the outside looking in, it seems to me that "the powers that be" throughout this industry are waiting on some sort of "tag" to start the process of giving us what is suppose to be an endless supply of music, like we're not approaching the 3rd month of the year...to be even more basic, this music industry right now is the longest game of chess I've ever been in in my life..Make a move! Another way to look at it, A good friend of mine asked me "What if the movie industry decided to not make movies for 3 months?" or your favorite store decided they were going to take 3 months off from selling you clothing, food ect.. (crazy right?) that's us folks! Demand is what we need to find out how to get again. I for one think its puzzling that an industry that's rumored to be running short on money, has these big label Presidents that sit around and wait for another label to make a move, basically letting them know "its OK we can go make money now"- well how about I become that person...Folks we're going into the 3rd month of the year, music execs, its OK to give us what your paid to give...MUSIC!

on to the Grammy's- a night that's suppose to be the biggest night in music turns into one of the biggest disappointment's of the year..Why?

Analogy- To go to a dance during the school year dressed down to impress..OK but going to your Senior prom in the same attire?

We in this music industry DEMAND so much "respect" but as the saying goes you get what you give. How can we fly anywhere in this musical bubble, if we don't respect what's ours in the form of Tom Ford?

Performers at this year's Grammy's with the exception of a few were quite lazy...They put the camera on Beyonce' and I wanted to throw a leotard and heels at her, Praying that she would save this second rate musical assembly, with the infamous Bob Dylan damn near tripping over cellos and banjos, stage hands running wild all night, camera angles basically showing the audience when we're suppose to be watching Skylar Grey, Eminem and Dr. Dre or B.o.B Janelle Monae' and Bruno Mars go in on a wonderful performances....Music's biggest night Folks...

So I'll end this rant, and get off my soapbox, but I'll end with this : since you guys only have 10 months now to try and gain what we pray for at the end of the year and that's at least a percentage up from the previous...Sober up people because it looks like we have a long road ahead of us. (OH! SAU I love you guys ;)

Releasing album after album, Tour after tour more than 100 million records sold...The living legend, there is only one Prince....

Ms.A: What an honor to have to here today Prince! I want to start off by thanking you for allowing me to press your buttons LOL

Prince: LOL your welcome Ms.A, if I was gonna sit down and have a chat with anybody in this day and age it would be you

Ms.A: Why thank you so much!

Prince: Salutations SAU!

Ms.A: So during this interview I want to get to know a lot of things most people wouldn't actually know about you how's that?

Prince: Sounds great you guys want to take a dive into my purple lair of paradise? Then so be it

Ms.A: So in the beginning 76' to be exact, you created a demo tape in a Minneapolis studio if you can remember back to that point in your beginning, what type of music/sound did that demo hold?

Prince: 76', that was a pretty long time ago I forget I'm that old sometimes Ms.A but the music that holds is more than just a sound, it was my life at the time.I knew I wanted to do nothing other than music, I was so passionate about and that was my love.I remember that demo was very Raw because I was not a polished artist in any since of the word, but I knew that this was my heart and soul in this demo it was all that I could possibly do with my life.If I had to do anything else I would have died on the inside.But to put into words best I can about it I thought was a very 'rock and roll' distinctive sound that I was trying to reach on that demo and I think I reached it in my rawest form.

Ms.A: After the ball began to roll with your career, the one of the first steps an artist usually goes for is creating an image. As hard as it is now a days to stand out amongst the crowd of other artists and find their own "Niche", your image absolutely stood out and made its mark on pop culture as a whole. what do you think it was and still is about your image that made that connection with your audience during the crazy 80's?

Prince: I think my image was definitely helpful in the crazy 80's, but I'm a crazy man so me and the 80's made love and berth a beautiful child as well as in the 90's.You know I was who I was, I'm not a gimmick that someone put together in a label office, this is me and thankfully I came up in a time when artist had more 'say so' in there career than they do now, so I think it was just totally meant to be that the connection between me and the fans were going to be, there (the 80's) it was almost like soul mates you know? When there's true love and passion coming from 2 people, that's how I feel me and the fans in the 80's were.But not to understate the passion and honesty in my music which also allowed a connection to the fans, they could relate back to what I was talking about

Ms.A: in 82' you released the double album1999' which sold well over 3 million albums and peaked at #9 on the charts. Your video for "Little Red Corvette" was one of the first of two videos played on a major music network, the other being Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". At that point when you and Michael Jackson were basically going head to head was there any actual "Musical Beef" with you two?

Prince: LOL, Now I wont say if we had a musical beef for real or not I think that's one of the musical industry's greatest wise tales, and I hope that its still talked about 40 years from now or 100 years from now. I will say I have so much love for Michael and I really really miss him and he was gone far to soon.He was the King and a musical talent that none of us has ever witnessed before. I will give a little hint our "Beef" till this day is still influencing different situations in the music as we speak... what did you think of our musical beef Ms.A? I would love to hear your thoughts on it

Ms.A: Well of course I was very small around that time but growing up I always had something in me that wanted to know about each and every musical genius that has paved the way for so many to do what they do today...realizing that the media and certain other outlets began this "Beef" was actually brilliant in some aspects because it put music from two wonderful artists to the forefront, each and every person listening to the next single you guys put out to see if there was some form of a hint and also plain and simple the music was actually good.

Prince: Your mom let you listen to me when you were younger? Michael was always more PG than I was...

Ms.A: LOL I love it

Prince: But there couldn't be 2 of him I had to go on and I did not mind playing the freaky bedroom guy it was more fun that way anyway! Great Answer by the way Ms.A

Ms.A: On to one of my favorites The infamous "Purple Rain"

Prince: uh oh now!

Ms.A: 13 million + albums sold, 24 weeks at #1, and a Movie of the same title that made headlines left and right...Now Of course millions of questions pop into my mind but the first has to be What in the hell kind of place were you in during that amazing time in your career?

Prince: Honestly, I spent a lot of that time high Ms.A, I was dealing with a personal struggle of mine.So my life was a struggle at that point I lost a true love in my life, I had family issues and I was losing it and when I made that album it was an out for me, it was a release. It let go of my inner fears and desires and worries I attribute that album to me being alive today, I really do. While I was in it, I did not enjoy my time in that moment, but now I can sit back and say that was a hell of a run that I had, and I'm so fortunate and blessed, and I'm even more thankful for that album because I'm still alive!

Ms.A: So I'll name a song from the album you give us a little insight into what that song actually means, starting with "The Beautiful Ones"

Prince: When I was writing that song I was in love and dating a woman and she was a beautiful woman but ugly soul.Her friends would encourage her to do better than me and they would call themselves "the beautiful ones" with there nose in the air so that's where a lot that song came from because of my inspiration from them.

Ms.A: "I Would Die For You"

Prince: You see its a trend man, this same woman really fucked me up man but I'm thankful for the inspiration!

Ms.A: LMAO!!

Prince: I was so in love that I would die for her, and I was trying to tell her that, and one day I did and sang this song for her before anybody heard it Ms.A she called me crazy and laughed and said I wouldn't die for you so stop singing that rubbish...CRAZY BITCH! oh well

Ms.A: Obviously there's no getting around the big beast in the room, which is the title track "Purple Rain" Now Prince....

Prince: LMFAO I knew Ms.A was bold enough to go here...

Ms.A: Now I'm going here with my eyes closed SAU...Prince what is the meaning of that damn "Purple Rain"?

Prince: What does it mean to you? Purple Rain means whatever you want it to mean.Its interchangeable to every person that ever hears that record.Because my meaning of it is not your meaning of it, and yours is not the same as the next person. So its not fair to put one entire meaning behind a song like that. As long as you know when it comes on its time to put your mother fuckin lighters up!

Prince: I can never disclose what it means to me that's like a person who has a crush on a celebrity and they get the chance to sleep with them.....9 times out of 10 you will be disappointed at the end. So I'm taking that one with me Ms.A but I want it to mean whatever it means to you and that goes for every person that hears it.

Ms.A: That's understandable...SAU we'll take it

Prince: LOL but maybe one day over some hot tea in Minnesota me and you can have a private conversation about it and break down the song but the world is not ready for that.

Ms.A: So who are some of your favorite artists out now?

Ms.A: Now on to more recent news you recently made headlines by saying "the Internet is over" explaining that certain avenues for music won't pay you in advance for your records but get pretty upset when they can't have it. Can you elaborate a little bit more on your opinion about the Internet being "Over"?

Prince: The Internet is over and is trash other than your site Ms.A, that's the only thing keeping it honest a little.The Internet as far as being over I was using in terms of the music industry.The Internet has been nothing but bad just plain BAD. They rob our music and post it on the Internet for free I compare that to you cant just go to a dealership and take a BMW when you want, but you can just rob our music when that cost us money to put it out? A radio single nowadays can cost almost $1 million dollars after you pay producers writers etc... and all that is asked to pay is .99 cents for you to enjoy it forever, is that to much to ask? Of course its a numbers game for the artist, you want 2 million people to pay .99 cents so you can make some money, I know that, but the Internet allows you to just take it and that is wrong. I know that you don't get enough credit for this, but you don't post alternative links to download peoples music and I love that! Thank you for having a heart. Now on to Steve Jobs (who I think is the devil on earth) he does not want to pay us upfront for our music, but uses our names to promote his program iTunes, where we get smaller cuts of the pie than on any service.A new single is $1.29 the artist and labels are only getting .80 cents that they have to divide with writers and producers.Apple is getting almost .40 cents! How is that fair when most likely the artist who made the song will get less than that when the royalties are cut? On amazon they take a far less price, but Apple is over the market share because they have the money to promote more than amazon and that's not fair to artist! Coldplay Reveals "Next Album Has A Story line"...

As we get closer to the New Year, we all know much much music is on its way. One of the most highly anticipated albums include Coldplay's 4th coming album, which is the follow up to their last album "Viva La Vida". In an interview with BBC we got just a little bit closer to knowing the actual concept behind the band's next album:

"It's from the point of view of two people who are a bit lost," Chris Martin told the BBC. "Two like-minded outsiders who meet in a very difficult environment and therefore have a journey together."

He added: "It's a concept album but it's supposed to be very personal within a big framework. Does that make sense?"

Martin also admitted his bandmates - guitarist Johnny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion - can be tough in their views on his songwriting, although he insists that their methods produce results.

He explained: "Jonny [Buckland] is delightful, he's the easiest to convince. It's when you have to take a verse to Guy [Berryman] or Will [Champion] that things become very tearful. You can forget there are other people in the world.

"I'm so lucky that we have that group, in as much as there are a lot of people who don't like us in the world, but there would be a lot more without this filtering system. Think of the rubbish that doesn't get out, if you don't like the stuff that does."

Coldplay's as-yet-untitled LP is slated for release next year.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards are upon us once again SAU, the biggest night in music, the head honcho, the creme de la creme' the..OK you get it..Leaping out the Box is Eminem with 10 nods, nominated in the big categories which are Record of the year ("Love The Way You Lie" Ft Rihanna), Album of the year ("Recovery"), and Song Of The Year (Love the Way You Lie). The newbie that is Bruno Mars came in with the second most with 7 nods, Lady Antebellum, and Lady Gaga each earned six nods,Jeff Beck, B.o.B, David Frost, Philip Lawrence, and John Legend received five each the Black Keys, Drake, Cee Lo Green, Ari Levine, Katy Perry, Rihanna, the Roots, Dirk Sobotka, and Zac Brown each earned four nominations.

A pretty big surprise was Cee-lo turning a song that will take the stress out of any messed up day "Fuck You", into a Grammy nominated smash-ero,claiming 2 Grammy nods for the foul mouthed hook of a song, including record and song of the year. Chris Brown Snuck in the back door with a few nods...Alicia Keys latest effort "Element Of Freedom" was failed to be mentioned at all, while One of The Biggest categories "Album Of The Year" which include Arcade Fire, Eminem, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry, failed to mention Albums like "Buble's "Crazy Love", Sade's "Solider Of Love", and Miranda Lambert's "Revolution" but congrats to the nominees nontheless...So the Question of the day...SAU Who's taking the Trophies Home?

It all started April 13th with a simple tweet "There is no Relapse 2"...Gasping, disbelief and ok, maybe a tear or two, thinking that what we have waited so long for is coming to an end before it began. That is until we found out that Eminem completely changed his album title to "Recovery", And what a "Recovery" this turned out to be. Marshall Mathers bka Eminem, has completely hung naysayers, and critics out to dry with the unveiling of his 7th studio album which sold oh, just a mere 741,000 copies in its first week, and as of Nov 21st, 2010 an astonishing 3 million in the U.S. The inspirational "Not Afraid" being his first single debuted at #1 on the charts along with "Love The Way You Lie" which debuted at #2 and with a nice tap on the ass rose to #1.

But Eminem wasn't completely done wrapping this present that was presented to the world in the name of "Recovery" just yet, as we found out a couple of hours ago, that Eminem stands alone on Mount Grammy with a rousing 10 Grammy nods. A story that one could only dream of when it comes to an fickle industry but maybe..just maybe..Dreams do come true...

A nice size video treat, in the form of Coldplay's "Christmas Lights" has surfaced today. The song was made available for digital download today...The single's release date was announced through the official Coldplay website on November 24, 2010. A countdown was also added to the homepage of the website, which counted down to December 1, 8pm GMT, in minutes and seconds.

Coldplay also released three short videos through their iTunes Ping page, showing the creation of the music video. A video was also released on their website, giving a preview of the music video and the song itself.

It was originally thought that "Christmas Lights" would be a song from their fifth album, but this was confirmed to not be the case by The Oracle on two separate occasions...

Billboard: In the short term, the result of Lambert's big night at the CMAs was an increase in sales: "Revolution" moved from No. 12 to No. 6 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart in the week following the CMAs, moving 29,000 units and up 137% from the week before. Her previous albums also jumped 50% or better in sales, and her digital song sales for the week were 93,000, up 136% from the previous week. Overall, Lambert has sold more than 5 million digital tracks.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, and the sounds of Michael Buble' throughout the Holidays..Can't get any better in my opinion. Michael Buble' who is now becoming more infamous for his rendition of Christmas Carols ( 2003's "Let It Snow" Ep sounds Oh So Sweet during this time of the year.) performed at Madison Square Garden recently. Buble' took the time out to perform some of his songs including his latest single "Hollywood" along with "Crazy Love", made famous by Van Morrison in 1970 also performed by Brian Mcknight and Rod Stewart among others...

Last Tuesday was a pretty big day for the music industry,with Kanye West's "My Beautiful Dark Fantasy",Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday", and Ne-yo's Libra Scale being released in stores. Well no need to guess the sales of each of these because according to Hitsdailydouble they are officially in.

Kanye West's latest, sits pretty at the #1 spot selling a nice 519k by weeks end. Say what you want about Mr. West but the quality in his music is very consistant. While Kanye sits at #1, Female rapper Nicki Minaj sells a very respectful 371k for her debut, "Pink Friday", sitting at at #2.

Country royalty Taylor Swift and Ms. Susan Boyle round out #3,& #4 while Ne-yo's "Libra Scale" lands in at #8 selling around 117k....
