John Mayer Makes 11 year Old's Dream Come True.....

At a concert in Philidelphia earlier this week Singer John Mayer made 11 year old Austin Christy's Dream Come true, by letting him share the spotlight with the celebrity inviting Christy on stage to play in front of 25,000 screaming fans!

Mayer's gesture was prompted by his tween fan's clever attention-grabbing tactic. Austin, who says he's been practicing Mayer's songs for over two years, showed up at Sunday's show carrying a homemade sign that displayed a hand-drawn guitar and the plea "Can I play 'Belief" with you?" Mayer couldn't resist.

"I was really excited. I was thinking that it wasn't real," the New Jersey sixth-grader gushed to a reporter after the show. .

Christy also told the Courier Post Online, "I thought it was pretty cool because a lot of other artists wanted to play with him and he picked an 11-year-old out of a lot better artists." .

That was a REALLY good look John!

Prince To Debut "Cause And Effect"

The song is called “*Cause and Effect*,” and it’s a rocker – filled with
virtuosic guitar work, explosive drum breaks, a poppy chorus, trademark
shrieks and whoops, some intriguing lyrics (“if I had the chance to do it
all again / I wouldn’t change a thing except my next of kin”) and a call to
mankind (“you need compassion”). Opening with Prince’s classic pop smarts,
the last minute of the tune swerves into a propulsive minor key
guitar/strings/drum workout like we haven’t heard from him in years

…it seems clear that Prince wants us to know that he’s back, he’s recording,

WWE NXT.....

So last night was the premiere of WWE's NXT... Didn't get the whole point but I liked it! There were a bunch of people I liked I.E. Heath Slater, and David Otunga, BUT....WWE UNIVERSE Daniel Bryant deserves without a doubt a standing ovation after he basically ripped his ribs out of his skin,after a counter by Chris Jericho that Slammed Bryan into the announcers table leaving him out of breath but determined to earn the respect of the WWE locker room!

Now lots of people say the kid is over rated but not me! If you really payed attention Chris Jericho actually put Byran in the "walls of Jericho" (notice the knee really in his neck) I actually without a doubt think he showed that he is worthy to be called a WWE wrestler (not superstar yet) as opposed to Wade Barrett who came to the ring ready for action but dropped the ball with his cheap imitation of the "hardest european ever"(was anyone else surprised when he started talking? didn't expect to hear that LOL)...but with more tweeking and twerking I think WWE NXT could go on to be something big for the new wrestlers looking to come into the WWE Universe....Whatcha think Universe?

Mary J Blige & Alicia Keys To Headline Essence Festival.....

According to online reports A.Keys and MJB will headline his years 16th annual Essence Festival, July 24th in New Orleans! LL Cool J, Estelle, and Trey Songz are among the other additions to perform at the festival as well as Gladys Knight, Earth, Wind & Fire, De La Soul, Keri Hilson, Jill Scott, Melanie Fiona and Raphael Saadiq.

Also, the festival will honor the local music of New Orleans this year, with special performances by: Arrested Development, Big Sam's Funky Nation, DJ Soul Sister, Hot 8 Brass Band, Irma Thomas, Irvin Mayfield and NOJO, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers, Lalah Hathaway, Leo Jackson and the Melody Clouds, Little Freddie King, Mary Mary, Mint Condition, Monica, Rebirth Brass Band, Sam & Ruby, Shamarr Allen and the Underdawgs, Soul Rebels Brass Band and WAR.

With his 2004 Sweat/Suit dropping on the same day and both selling 5 mill in the states alone taking Nelly to superstar status, he should be well rested enough to show what he has for 2010...So if you see Nelly tell him I said.. So SAU....Jlo Claims she has a new label already! Check what she told Billboard.com...

"I am making this statement to put an end to any confusion in regards to my next album, titled Love?" Lopez said, according to Billboard. "I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we've had great success. I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label. I'm also happy to say that we've found a new home for my album, Love?, and that it is slated for release in the summer of 2010."

Now keep in mind she never specified which label it was that picked up her quest for Love?, but I can't wait to hear what she has to bring to the table...Pressure is on!

Coldplay Back In The Studio....

SAU are you guys big Coldplay fans? Welp I sure am and I'm happy to say according to online reports they are back in the studio and hope to have an album to their awaiting fans by Christmas time! During an online interview Chris Martin commented on leaked music saying..

“There’s only two people in the whole building who know how to open all the recording files. Even we (Coldplay) don’t know how to do it. We couldn't even steal our own music at the moment. You would have to be a computer genius and a great burglar to get into the building, and download it, and mix it.”

Well as you can see Coldplay's music won't get leaked anytime soon...Have the right people around your music people if you don't want leaks! I bet Coldplay doesn't have 75 drunk dudes in the studio!...So to hold you guys over...

Trailer Permiere...."The Karate Kid"...

Will Smith's son Jaden Smith, stars in this updated version of the 1980's film that starred Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita.

So here's the plot SAU, Jaden Smith's character moves to Beijing with his mother(Taraji P Henson), where he encounters a bully situation similar to Macchio's in his new locale. Smith's character will be named Dre instead of Daniel, and take lessons from Chinese martial arts master Mr. Han, played by Jackie Chan.

Whereas Daniel Larusso and his mother faced a regional move across the United States in the the first film, the producers say the script will escalate language barrier conflicts and an international collision of world views into the bully-victim-turned-martial-artist tale.

Jennifer Lopez Dropped From Sony??

Jenny from the block has parted ways(or dropped) with her longtime label Sony/Epic records. Deadlinehollywood.com reports:

"The bland version of what happened, I’m told, is that the contract period had ended and that Lopez had fulfilled it with her last two singles, and that Lopez and Stringer decided together not to move forward with an album. Others insist the Sony label dropped her. There also is disagreement on how finished her upcoming album was before it was canceled. Internet reports say her 7th studio album, titled "Love?", was supposed to come out in April and featured production from Danja, Jim Jonsin, Darkchild, Chris n Teeb from Dropzone, and The Neptunes among others. A song from it titled "Fresh Out The Oven" surfaced online in October 2009 as a buzz single and reached #1 on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs chart. But the official lead single, "Louboutins", had its radio debut on November 23 following the song's premiere and performance at the 2009 American Music Awards went to #31 on the Hot Dance Club Songs

Her manager released this statement: “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone at Sony for all that they accomplished together.”

Oxfam is organising the auction and bids have already reached sky high numbers already!

"I've been amazed and inspired by the courage of people in Haiti" the singer says. What's happened has been so devastating, and I really want to do anything I can to help. Former NBA Star Jayson Williams Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison

Former NBA star Jayson Williams was sentenced to 5 years in Prison moments ago after pleading guilty to aggravated assault for the 2002 death of limo driver Costas "Gus" Christofi.
He is eligable for parole after he serves a minimum of 18 months in state prison, a sentence prosecutors had agreed to as part of the plea deal.

Williams first went to trial in 2004, and a jury acquitted him of aggravated manslaughter, the most serious offense. He was convicted of the four charges related to the cover-up. Reckless manslaughter was the only charge on which jurors could not agree. He was slated to be retried this year, but pleaded guilty Jan. 11. During that hearing, Williams admitted that he pulled a shotgun from his gun collection on Feb. 14, 2002. He failed to check whether the safety mechanism was on, or if the gun was loaded, and he didn’t pay attention to where the muzzle was pointed. When he snapped the gun shut, it discharged and hit Christofi in the chest.

Williams has remained free on $250,000 bail and has spent the last few days tying up loose ends with his lawyers and spending time with his daughters, ages 7 and 5, said Akhtar Farzaie, his friend and manager. He has also made provisions for his charity work to continue, Farzaie said.

Allen Iverson Taking Indefinite Leave From Sixers....

Iverson's 4-year daughter, Messiah, is suffering from an undisclosed illness that kept Iverson away from the team for five games before the All-Star break. Iverson returned for three games following the hiatus, but informed the team after Saturday's loss in Chicago that he was leaving to again be with his family....

The Sixers announced yesterday that Iverson will not be with the team for the remaining three games, and that he will be away from the team indefinitely after that for personal reasons.

A source familiar with the situations of Iverson and the Sixers said that, in this case, "indefinitely," could mean the remainder of the season.

Men and Women alike have something new to debate over....Who has the best body in Hollywood,In a survey of 2,000 people conducted by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, 24 percent of women named Beyoncé as the celebrity female with the sexiest body, while one in five men claimed Megan Fox had the best body, the Telegraph reports.

But while the fellas may drool over Fox, Beyoncé doesn't have much to complain about. The singer nabbed 34 percent of the male and female vote for best bottom, a quarter of all votes for best legs and 23 percent of the female vote for best cleavage, according to the paper....

Jennifer Lopez won't just be hosting Saturday Night Live on February 27th, but she will also serve as the musical guest that night as well.
