Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch (MCA) Dead At 47

Founding member of the legendary Rap group The Beastie Boys Adam Yauch (also known as "MCA") has died today at the age of 47 from complications due to cancer.  The Brooklyn born MC announced in 2009 that he was being treated for a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node.

MCA's publicist  released a statement, writing, "It is with great sadness that we confirm that musician, rapper, activist and director Adam 'MCA' Yauch ... passed away in his native New York City this morning after a near-three-year battle with cancer. He was 47 years old."

R.I.P. Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston, One of the most iconic singers ever to give life to a  microphone has passed away today at age 48.  The singer reportedly died in Beverly Hills,Ca but details or cause of death were  not immediately given.

A complete understatement would be to say she was JUST a wonderful singer and not an all around talent. Houston's vocalistic ability will never be matched. Our prayers are with her family.
