Harry Connick Jr. was the mentor this week on American Idol, and for the first time I was totally in tune with what was going on. When I think of the word 'Mentor' for American Idol, I will think of Harry, being that he took this seriously as opposed to most of the mentors who give one word of inspiration, and keep it moving to what their there for (the performance). We got a real treat at the end of his mentoring duties with Harry performing the beautiful "I love her"... made me want a coke and a smile....Simply beautiful!

So newly confirmed Rocafella artist Curren$y is giving it ago with this spittin' thing right...I will admit I can hear it. He's fishing for something but the 'vibe' of his flow and the beat (which is a pretty ok freestyle beat) is coming around on me, so I'm keeping up on the kid. If he can keep the same laid back vibe and get a real song to make some noise, he just might be ok after all, and can potentially be added in the new school rappers migrating over the rap game ....SAU whatcha think?

Pacquiao Warming Up To Mayweather's Demands?

With Mayweather beating Shane Mosely last week, Manny Pacquiao is looking around the corner in hopes to get next. While previous plans for the two pound-for-pound best in boxing to square off were axed due to the fact neither could agree on the terms of drug testing, Manny Pacquiao seems to be opening up to the possibility of the fight everyone wants to see.

"I am willing to help the sport for the future of the sport. I do not want to see anyone cheat or cheat this sport. For that reason I am willing to consider taking blood [tests] as close as 14 days prior to the fight, as long as my opponent does the same, and it is not a lot of blood, just enough to test," Pacquiao is quoted as saying on his official website.

Miley Cyrus 'Can't Be Tamed'....

The 17-year-old Disney star is setting for her independence with "Can't Be Tamed," the first song from her new album. She released it on her MySpace Music page on Friday, and the video will premiere today on E! Her album, also called "Can't Be Tamed," goes on sale June 22.

Dame Dash To Bring Back The ROC.....

Pretty Major News regarding the ROC name...C.E.O of the once mulit million dollar Roc-a-fella records Dame Dash, has announced that he is resurrecting Roc-A-Fella Records and plans to make Curren$y's 'Pilot Talk' the label's first new release on June 15.

"I think we just having fun, really," said Dash, sitting in his office at DD172 next to Curren$y. "[Curren$y] inspired me to dust off the chains. We brought 'em out for kicks, just 'cause we could. Then we was like, 'F--- it, let's put it out through Roc-A-Fella.' It was really more something he wanted to do. Basically, 'cause we havin' such a good time, and the opportunity's there, we was like, 'Why not?' "




But will that 'why not' turn into a lonely Why? I'm not sure if Curren$y, (who was once apart of the now major 'Young Money' crew) can carry the boat all by his lonesome. I think Curren$y has a boat load of potential but June 15 is right around the corner and most people aren't speaking Curren$y very fluently....So again will it work solely off the name 'Roc-A-Fella records'? we sure shall see..Check what Dash had to say to MTV.com..SAU you think it'll work?

Scrolling through my iPod I came across this one...remember her? Some of you may not remember her but this is Vanessa Carlton..Vanessa had a niiice career with her songs "Ordinary Day" and the infamous "thousand miles" In an interview in April 2009, Vanessa stated that she was half way done with a new album.

Via Twitter, Vanessa announced that a possible name for her upcoming album could be 'Tall Tales For Spring' and mentioned she's been recording in KT Tunstall's studio in London. Other than this mention, there has been no talk of the album or its release date...The last thing I heard is that she signed to Irv Gotti's 'The Inc'...DAMN hopefully she got out of that deal and is on to the next because this one had chops...So if anyone See's Vanessa Ask her...Where da music at?

DAYUM....Iron Man 2 $100 Milli In Box Office Already....

Not Even released in the U.S. yet... Iron Man 2 had an outstanding start at the foreign box office in its first five days, grossing an estimated $100.2 million at 6,764 locations in 53 territories (and ranking No. 1 in all but one territory). This was up slightly from Iron Man's 2008 foreign launch of $99.1 million. Domestically, Iron Man 2 is set to open in around 4,000 theaters this Friday.

The Marvel Entertainment movie had its best debut in the United Kingdom, where it grossed $12.2 million from 528 locations, representing nearly a 50 percent improvement over its predecessor. Tony Stark and company also drew huge crowds in South Korea, where its $10.8 million from 855 locations was up 79 percent over Iron Man's launch two years ago. Other noteworthy starts included $8.8 million in Australia, $8.2 million in France, $8.2 million in Russia, $7.3 million in Mexico, $5.2 million in Brazil, $4.6 million in Italy and $3.9 million in Spain.

With Wayne Brady hosting last night's show...it began with The Animal Batista coming out to speak on Extreme Rules and how John Cena indeed tied his ankles together with duck tape to get the W....Only to get interrupted by Sheamus (who is coming into his own finally) who asked for another match against the Animal and got turned down....Batista who was suppose to face The Miz (Who had a hilarious "doctor's note") actually turned out to face NXT rookie Daniel Bryan in a 'Beat the clock match' in the end Batista won with a 5:06 time for John Cena to beat..Damn Daniel Bryan can't catch a break...





Superstar John Cena ended up facing NXT rookie Wade Barrett in a beat the clock Match (having to beat Batista's Time) Of course he did beat Wade with a cool .27 secs to spare John took to the mic to announce the type of match him and Batista would have at 'Over the limit' only to have (Wade TRY some form of sneak attack)and have Sheamus give Cena a boot from hell! I wonder where this will take us...

The Cutting Edge returned from a 3 year Hiatus last night having Wayne Brady in the ring who when Randy Orton came out got a nice R.K.O...But instead of Randy going for the kill with Edge he took a listen.....We found out that Edge "made a statement' with Randy giving him a spear last week..Randy looking deranged Edge proceeded saying how he was basically jealous of Randy's acceptance by the WWE universe...In the end Edge went for the Spear but got countered by Randy's R.K.O in mid air...This one is going to be a good one WWE UNIVERSE WHATCHA THINK?

Madonna did a brief interview for 'Interview Magazine in which the 51 year old talked various things check what she had to say about her trips to Africa...

In her interview with the mag the 51-year-old ‘Material Girl’ talks about visiting Africa twice a year:

“I go to Malawi twice a year. It’s where two of my children were adopted from, and I have a lot of projects there that I go and check up on and children who I look after. It’s sort of a commitment that I’ve made to this country and the hundreds of thousands of children there who have been orphaned by AIDS. I made a documentary about it [I Am Because We Are, 2008], and it’s just become part of my life. I’m going to meet with Jeffrey Sachs [the economist]. I’m sure you’ve heard of him. He’s starting a global education initiative, and I’m going to be his Girl Friday, so to speak. We’re going to hold a press conference to talk about the school for girls that I’m building in Malawi. It’s kind of our way of making sure that every kid has a chance to have an education-more specifically girls, but boys as well. Girls, though, in a lot of developing countries don’t have the opportunity to go to school, nor are they encouraged to go to school, so what we’re doing is the beginning of a dream. But I’m going to Malawi for lots of reasons.”

B.O.B's 'Airplanes' Video Coming Soon.../

As our boy readies a number one album, Stays atop of the Hot 100 with 'Nothing On You' and bet everyone that he 'Busts' we would ask whats next, but the obvious would have to be 'Airplanes'!

B.o.B has his already hit single 'Airlpanes' ft Hayley Williams of Paramore (whom we will get to in a minute) on the runway ready to take off..According to MTV.com Hayley Williams is VERY excited to get together with the one they call B.o.B to shoot the video...

"Hopefully, right after this tour, I'll get to do my part of the B.o.B video," she said. "I'm stoked, because I've seen a couple of treatments, and I don't know exactly what I'm getting into yet, but I'm stoked about it, because I know it'll be different, and I think it'll be a lot easier than a Paramore shoot but different and challenging in a new way. It'll definitely be shorter than a Paramore video; no 12-hour day on a chorus."

Now am I the only one that can for see so much more for this Hayley chica than just Paramore? With her vocals not being pushed as far as they can be on a regular Paramore song, I imagine when someone comes along and suggests a solo album for her and takes her in the right direction she's going to HIT! The Black Eyed Peas have broken so many records with the releasse of The 'E.N.D' but this one can officially shut everyone down..including Flo Rida...

According to Billboard, Nielsen SoundScan reports that the tune that makes your night just right has sold 5,561,000 downloads, which puts it ahead of the 5,536,00 sold by "Low." SoundScan started tracking digital song sales in July 2003.


The feat is not surprising, considering that "Feeling" spent 14 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts last year. Flo Rida had held the title since March 2008, when it beat another inescapable tune, Soulja Boy Tell'em's 2007 hit, "Crank That."

"Feeling" takes its place in the top 5 best-selling digital downloads of all time, along with another Peas tune, the equally ubiquitous 2009 track "Boom Boom Pow," which is in the #4 slot at 5,298,000. Moving back to #3 on the tally is Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" (5,364,000), followed by another Gaga smash, "Poker Face" at #5 (5,131,000).
