History Class.....Andre 3000

Great vibe, Got the look, but historic lyrics make you one for the record book Andre 3000 is an artist that can jump on a current beat and make you realize the man has more than flow...He has a message Check out the lyrics...

So I'm watchin' her fine ass Walk to my bedroom, and thought to myself
That's the shape of things to come She said, Why in the club, you don't make it precipitate?
You know, make it rain when you can make it thunderstorm
I'm like, Why?
The world needs sun
The hood needs funds
There's a war going on and half the battle is guns
How dare I throw it on the floor
When people are poor
So I write like Edgar Allen to restore, got a cord-
Umbilical attached to a place that can't afford
No landscaping, Or window draping
This old lady told me,
If I ain't got nothin' good, say nathing
That's why I don't talk much
I swear it don't cost much, to pay attention to me
I tell like it is, then I tell it how it could be
The hood be
Requesting my services, Oh don't get nervous it's
Step yo game up time, These ain't them same old rhymes
Designed to have you dancin' in some club
Niggas write to me
Woman be up in they tub
Expoliating with hey pom poms
Yellin' GO 3000!
I'm in my whatever bumpin' NWA
A 100 miles and
Runnin' Runnin' Runnin' Runnin'
Summon
Woman
Come in
Sit down, heard you need some plumbing
Done in
I'm in
A swell mood
or rather swoll mood
Until she told me that she told dude
That she'll be back, she's going to the store
I didn't know she had a boyfriend, so the door
I pointed her to
I said, Call me when ya'll break up
I don't fuck nobody bitch
And never on the Jacob, know what time it is
Nigga just tryin' to live
Like a Nigga supposed to live
If I still drink that malt liquor
I pour the beer
On the ground for niggas not around
I started off starvin'
Now they got me out here Brett Farve'n
Trynna see if I still got it... (got it...)
I guess it's like a fight think about it...

Doesn't that make you wanna throw away your book of rhymes and start over? LMAO

Maroon 5 Talks New Album...

Super Band Maroon 5 has announced that the name of their new album will be titled "Hands All Over" dropping September 21st. Front man Adam Levin caught up with billboard.com and talked about how legendary AC/DC super producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange will help them to get back to the spirit of their first record..

"I like to say he descended from the sky in a cloud of smoke and said, 'I want to produce this record,' 'cause that's kind of what happened," explains Levine, who credits the Lange-produced Def Leppard albums as some of his earliest musical inspirations. "He keeps to himself and doesn't necessarily come out of the woodwork unless he really wants to work on something. And he's an amazing guy. He thinks huge; he wants to reach everybody in every country. He doesn't want to dumb things down, but he wants to make things understandable and accessible.

"And we don't think about things like that. I just think about how I'm feeling at any particular moment or what I want to express musically. So I think he took this music and really magnified it bigger than it ever could have been before."

Can't wait to hear what Maroon 5 comes up with being that this is a band that has sold over 10 million albums in the United States and nearly 15 million worldwide..

Jay-Z on SNL Performance...

As promised Jay-Z took to the legendary SNL stage this past Saturday, and brought out a bag of tricks! Performing a plethora of jams including the Black Album's "Public Service Announcement", "On to the next", and many others rounding out to be a 8 minute performance...I was thoroughly entertained but Mr.Hudson polish up those live vocals...

New Music: Nicki Minaj "Your Love"

OK Lets start here....Although leaking back in January this is now rumored to be Nicki Minaj's second single "Your Love". If the sample sounds familiar back there its the one and only Annie Lenox's "No More I love you's"....whoever sampled this track should be DAMNED ASHAMED of the homage they paid to Annie. This sample is so hot and you decided to take a ABC 123 beat and put it under the sample...That's it?..whoever did this should have their sampling card revoked...if you have to use this much auto tune on your voice (and your not Kanye) you shouldn't be singing Sorry but this is just a mess and "Team Nicki" needs to tap into her real potential instead of feeding us this...not a fan at all!

New Vid: Lil Jon Ft R.Kelly, Mario "Miss Chocolate"

Lil' Jon has had a rough patch, after dropping off the music scene in about 07'. But he's back with his new song featuring R.Kelly and Mario "Miss Chocolate" and its not bad...not bad at all Hopefully this is a sign that Mario and R.Kelly is stepping back on the scene because other then Trey Songz and Usher right now R&B Music (For men) is straight ZERO....All in all a pretty ok song SAU whatcha think?

R.I.P. Mrs. Lena Horne

Lena Horne was an American singer, actress and dancer.

Horne joined the mike chorus of the Cotton Club at the age of sixteen and became a nightclub performer before moving to Hollywood where she had small parts in numerous movies, and more substantial parts in the films Cabin in the Sky and Stormy Weather. Due to the Red Scare and her progressive political views, Horne found herself blacklisted and unable to get work in Hollywood.

Returning to her roots as a nightclub performer, Horne took part in the March on Washington in August 1963, and continued to work as a performer, both in nightclubs as well as television, and releasing well received albums. Horne announced her retirement in March 1980, but the next year starred in a one woman show, Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music, which ran for more than three hundred performances on Broadway, and earned her numerous awards and accolades, and she would continue recording and performing sporadically into the 1990's.

Horne died in 2010, at the age of 92, at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

Usher's 'OMG' Takes Number One Spot.....

R&B Singer Usher caught his 9th number one single with his recent hit 'OMG'. The track was produced by Will.I.Am and was written by Usher and himself. It is the first international single off his sixth studio album, Raymond v. Raymond, and the third single overall. The song was met with mixed reception from critics, criticizing the use of auto-tune, however commending the song’s dance and club vibe.

It reached number-one in Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The song became his ninth number one in the United States, making him the first 2010s artist to collect number one singles in three consecutive decades, and only the third artist of all-time to achieve the feat....So congratulations are definitely in order for Usher...

P!nk Covers Cosmopolitan Magazine...

Singer P!nk Covers the June 2010 issue of Cosmo Mag...In the Magazine she talks her marriage, and Kids for the most part but when asked about getting standing ovation at the Grammys Pink says: “I wasn’t expecting that at all, because the music industry is pretty jaded. They still don’t really know what I do. I sing and perform my ass off. I have never lip-synched – I don’t believe in it.”

When asked about her marriage she says :“I’m so dramatic…and in the past, I’ve been really mean. Carey sat me down one day when we were fighting and said, ‘Baby, when you call me names, it hurts my feelings. Please try to stop.” And I was like ‘Wow, thank you for telling me how you feel.’ Now I fight fair.”

New Music: Bruno Mars 'The Other Side" Ft Cee-Lo & B.o.B

Leave it to Cee-Lo to pick up Bruno Mars and turn that down and out sound to something that sounds as awesome as this! I love it Bruno Love Love Love it!

Mary J Blige Set To Launch New Fragrance.....

The Grammy award-winning singer is launching her first fragrance with Carol's Daughter, a full-range beauty line that uses natural ingredients and was first famously invested in by stars Jay-Z, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Thalia and Tommy Mottola.

The My Life fragrance is named in honor of Blige's 1994 album of the same title, which the songstress credits as her life's biggest turning point.

"I was crying out for help, because I was going through so much," Blige tells WWD of the time when she made the album.

"Four million women said, 'Mary, we're going through it too, but you're helping us by calling on us.' From that day on, I began speaking truths about my life, and about their lives. So it's a special tribute to us as women. My fans and I are smart now. We know we're smart now, but we didn't know it then. We know we're beautiful now, we didn't know it then. We're educated now, we didn't know it then. We're soft, we're edgy -- we're all those things. And I wanted this perfume to represent every female's everyday life," adds Blige.

My Life's top notes are gardenia, Bartlett pear and white freesia, with a heart of tuberose, blooming jasmine, gold lily and apricot flower. The drydown blends cashmere woods, praline, sesame and incense. Sold with a clutch purse, the scent will retail for $46 for a 1.7 oz spray.

When you think of Artist of the decade who do you think of? If you said a singer, a Jazz musician, or someone other than Eminem you would be totally wrong!

Eminem was awarded the Nielsen SoundScan "Artist of the Decade Award," which recognized him for having sales exceeding 32 million units domestically (worldwide, his sales are approximated to be near 80 million). The award was presented to the multi-platinum rapper by Nielsen Entertainment President Eric Weinberg and Nielsen Entertainment's Retail Relations Vice President Chris Muratore.

In addition, Eminem was part of other high-selling projects which did not count towards his tally as a solo artist, including two platinum D12 albums in 2001's Devil's Night and 2004's D12 World. New Vid: Travis McCoy Ft Bruno Mars "Billionaire"

As we stated a couple months ago, Bruno Mars is teaming up with Gym Class Hero front man Travis Mccoy in an attempt to push Travie's new album "Lazarus" (due out June 8th) and not to mention be a whole Billionaire....I love how Bruno comes in the song with just him and the guitar but this is really one of those songs you hear in your local store while your shopping....Eeeh just an ok song for me but with June 8th right around the corner I hope (for Travis' sake) it can generate some noise..
