R.I.P Cavs...

Last night was the end of it all..We saw a team give up and give in when things got tough. The Celtics have successfully beaten the Cavs in the 2010 playoffs in a 95-84 game where Lebron James shouldn't have shown up being that Mo' Williams carried the whole team on his back the whole game...Damn MVP. As fans in the stands called out "New York Knicks" as Lebron Shot freethrows I can imagine we won't be seeing Lebron in a Cavs Jersey next year...Or Will we? WELP good thing I was rooting for the Lakers the whole time, or I would be one sad puppy right now...WHEW! ;)

Lady Gaga, Elton John, & Bruce Springsteen At Rainforest Concert...

As we said earlier this month Lady Gaga teamed up with Elton John and Bruce Springsteen for a all-star fund-raiser to preserve those endangered parts of the rain forest world. Gaga sat poised at the piano at Carnegie Hall and delivered a sober version of one of the most earnest pop songs of all time: "Stand By Me."

Accompanied by Sir Elton John on her next song, "Speechless," she rendered the melody with operatic gravity, moving into John's own "Your Song," as if the two hits - and the two stars - were made for each other.

For their entire 21-year history, the Rain Forest concerts have kept their events on the light side, letting top stars have fun with songs from their own catalogues, and those of others, while hosts Sting and wife Trudy Styler cheer them on.

Much of Thursday night's event tried just as hard to keep things camp as Gaga did to play it straight - with equally rousing results.

Check out this amazing performance of "Don't Stop Believing"

B.o.B Interview With ABC News Radio....

New Music: Drake, Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars: 'Somewhere In Brooklyn'

So if you guys didn't know Bruno Mars has a new EP available on itunes...Not my favorite EP AT ALL being that it sounds rushed to get something out because of the success of "Nothing On You" not that I blame his people, but at least make it listenable..There is a crown jewel on the EP and that's the song 'The other side" ft Cee-lo..If Team Bruno Mars was smart they would be ringing Cee-Lo's phone off the hook right now..but What do I know right?

Bruno Mars "The Other Side"

Drake ft Jhene Aiko: 'July'

Not too sure if this is left overs from a Mixtape or something new from Drake, but it's pretty Mellow a nice song to bob to..Not feeling the chick's vocal tone on the song at all but its a nice song to bob to nothing more...

New Vid: Train "If It's Love"

The director of the video Pete Wentz (Fallout Boy) talked to MTV about the concept of the video, Pete previously told MTV, "It's based off videos like [Michael Jackson's] 'Leave Me Alone,' or 'The Real Slim Shady' ... it's a bit of a parody, you'll see Pat and the guys parodying themselves a bit. That's what I've always found from [Fall Out Boy's] videos. If you take the piss out of yourself, people like it."

Easy As Pie....

Rapper extraordinaire Eminem will enter at number 1 on the hot 100 Singles Chart tomorrow. Released digitally last Monday (May 3) just four days after its radio premiere, "Not Afraid" busts out of the gate with 380,000 first-week digital downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan -- the biggest sales week for a digital track this calendar year. The song also debuts at No. 24 on the radio-based Rap Songs chart, and is bubbling under the Radio Songs chart with 10.3 million listener impressions, according to Nielsen BDS.

"Not Afraid" is the lead single from Eminem's new album "Recovery," due out on June 22. The single is the first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 since Oct. 17, 2009, when Britney Spears' "3" danced in at No. 1. "Afraid" is only the second rap single to start at No. 1 following "I'll Be Missing You" by Puff Daddy & Faith Evans featuring 112, which began its 11-week run at the summit on the chart dated June 14, 1997.

Usually its rather tough to get a single to sky rocket to the number one position, being that now a days you have to work a song until its force Fed to the people.....But what can you say I guess the people want Eminem....Glad Em could get it before Katy Perry steps on the scene because she's comin' people...

New Vid: Alicia Keys "Unthinkable"

Sticking with prolonging album sales, Alicia keys has just dropped the video for her song "Unthinkable"..Very creative video, you'd think she would stick with just showing 'The Brand' in this one but instead Ms.Keys dug another route and went with a very "Olden days" vibe..Nice

New Music: M.I.A 'XXXO'

M.I.A Is back with her futuristic sounding 'XXXO' and from the sound of things she's a sure win and Billboard bound! I like the sound of this one for M.I.A it gives us a more softer sound from her as opposed to "Paper Planes" which was awesomly off the chain but just a tad harder..Love it

New Music: Leona Lewis & Jennifer Hudson "Love Is Your Color"

Two massive voices come together for a common goal which is "Sex In The City II" soundtrack hits the stores May 25th.

Kanye West And Kid Cudi At It Again...

With Cudi's 'Man On The Moon II' in the production stages he has reunited with Kanye West for a rock/pop track from Cudi’s forthcoming album...

Jonsin (the producer of the track) told Rap-Up.com: "We did one song together which is kind of rock-influenced. It was something I wanted to do with [Cudi] and just see where he would go. I played him a couple of tracks and decided to play him this batch here and he really liked this one with this rock influence. We tamed it down just a little bit, light weight, he was all open to do it and he killed it, wrote the top line and I helped him with some melodies, he killed one record."

Jim Jonsin then went on to explain that there will also be a sampled Duran Duran track on the album too:

“We did another record where I sampled a Duran Duran record. Kanye and Kid Cudi supposedly did that in the studio together and killed it but I haven't got it yet. From what I heard, it's a mix man. It's kind of some club stuff, some hip-hop traditional rap stuff, and then some rock-pop stuff. He's gong everywhere, it's similar to what B.o.B. is doing. These new artists are really trying to reach out to new people and fans."

I like Kid Cudi and I can fully see the direction he's going in I hope he pulls through with a good one for the awaiting fans..

Male R&B...On The Rise Or A Thing Of The Past...

Male R&B..A Major thing in the 90's with the Rise of R.Kelly, the soothing sounds of the (then) newby Maxwell. D'Angelo gave you some "Brown Sugar" Tevin Cambell told you he was "Ready" and you couldn't get away from the soulful, honest, yet so humble sounds of Brian Mcknight.. Fast forward to the end of the 90's Ginuwine broke the mode with unique beats by Timbaland, Donell Jones had his smash album "Where I wanna Be" and the Coca Cola guy named Tyrese made us all "Sweet Ladies".

R&B males were on the rise but not ready for what was to come... 2004 on a breezy March night Usher Broke the door down to "Confess" to all 10 million plus what he was going through and from up the street the golden star that was Chris Brown hollered "Yo" and wouldn't let up until we found out that then he was the one to "Run it"...

Unlike the days of the 60's and 70's when we had your Frankie Beverly's, Al Green's,Sam Cooke's, Smokey Robinson, Philip Bailey, and the one and only Marvin Gaye. Male R&B seems like just a dream here in the year of 2010... With select pickings and Some that can't even hold a full note in concert,The legends that were of the 60's and 70's can't help but to roll in their graves(or wheelchairs) If they were to hear what it is, that is Male R&B now so the question is....Do you guys think that Male R&B will ever reign supreme again or do you think its a dying genre?

WWE Raw Recap...

Last night on Raw we got a lot of info 2 weeks away from "Over the Limit" we started last night's show With the Viper coming out to show his face and talk about Edge wanting to "keep him under control" only to get interrupted by "Meatloaf" long story short...to get Meatloaf out the way simply put.. RKO...but not before Edge comes out to express his opinion about the General Manager of Raw now being Vicki Gurrerro (which we later find out its only for the night) She proceeds to put Randy into a two on one handicap match with Edge and a partner of his choosing...

After seeing guest host Flavor flav come out with R-Truth who's been getting much face time on Raw lately, we find out The Miz will be taking on the great Bret Hart next week on Raw...Thoughts?

John Cena revealed that he will face Batista 2 weeks away at "Over The Limit" in an 'I Quit match' who he gave thanks to Sheamus for...
Huge news!

Of course Sheamus comes out to speak his true feelings about what John Cena just revealed in which Batista comes from the crowd to take action on Cena...Who comes to the rescue? unlikely help in the 400+ LBS Mark Henry who later had a match against the animal Batista who put Henry into a submission hold until he infact passed out...Ouch

Edge vs Orton vs Ted Dibasi...We all knew this one wasn't going to be fair from the beginning seeing Edge talking to Batista earlier on Raw...But to make a long story short Orton takes the W and scares Vicki out of her position as General Manager...After in which he RKO's Edge who tried his best at a sneak attack..

King To Interview "The King".....

Atlanta born rapper T.I. will appear on Thursday's "Larry King Live," airing at 9 p.m. ET, to talk with the CNN host about the nine months he spent in prison on federal weapons charges, among other topics.

"I want to maintain the level of success I've been fortunate enough to do, over and over again, over the years," the rapper said of his upcoming album in a recent interview. "This album is different in many ways. I think that Paper Trail was a lot more about thoughts; this is more about feelings. This is significantly more aggressive, or at least at this period in production. Who knows? I can do 10 love songs tomorrow and change the direction. At this point, right now, it's going hard. It's going hard like classic T.I."

I think we all can agree T.I. is trying his best to take that next step to show us who he can become as a rapper....Very critical album

Liam Gallagher Set To Produce Beatles Feature Film...

The former Oasis frontman is planning to adapt ‘The Longest Cocktail Party’,
a memoir written by the Beatles’ “house hippy” in the 1960s, Richard
DiLello.

The biopic is about the “wild rise and fall” of the band’s record company
Apple between 1968 and the break-up in 1970.

Liam Gallagher’s film company, In 1 Productions, will work with UK
Independent Revolution Films.
A spokesman for In 1 Productions told the BBC:

This will be a film with humour and affection, providing an insider’s look
at what it meant to be a young man caught up in the wild swirl of the music
business, celebrities and the tail end of the swinging 60s in London.”

Katy Perry In The Studio With Snoop Dogg..

Not only is she names Maxim's 100 Hottest woman but she has a new single out called "California Gurls" Ft Snoop Dogg and I like it...Its very 'summery'! written/produced by Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco and the legendary Max Martin (Who you see at the beginning of the video introduce himself to Katy) I think Katy just might have something here SAU whatcha think?
