Alicia Keys Covers 'Fabulous' Mag....
Alicia Keys Talks To British Magazine 'Fabulous' About Her Mental Breakdown, Rumors & Relationship w/ Swizz Beatz.
When asked about her being in love she states: "Oh yes," she says dreamily. "I am very much in love. Right now love is my main inspiration. Love is the one thing we all want in our lives and I am completely surrounded by it. Love fills you up in a way nothing else can and it's the most amazing, amazing thing."
When asked about motherhood:"I'm so looking forward to being a mom," she says. "My mom was the best mom to me. She was my best friend as well as my mom. And I want to be the same to my child."
DAMN.....
Virgin America, the California-based airline, marks the launch of its first international destination with a celebrated flight from California to Toronto, complete with a party hosted by Virgin Group Founder and Provocateur-in-Chief Sir Richard Branson and hip hop newbie and Toronto native Drake. Virgin America's low-fare, high-tech service injects new competition into the Canadian market with twice daily flights from San Francisco International (SFO) and Los Angeles International (LAX) to Toronto Pearson International (YYZ). Although the airline's service begins June 23, the celebrated flight takes place on June 29 due to G8/G20 events.
Despite missing the G8/G20, Virgin America's Toronto launch may just cause its own international incident. Some of the airline's first Toronto guests will enjoy cocktails, music and a mile high party under the airline's signature moon lighting as they cross the border in style. Upon touchdown of Virgin America's "Air Drake" in Toronto, flight guests including Drake fans who scored a fly-away trip to the West Coast and a seat for one of the hottest tickets in the skies, will receive an international welcome with a Virgin twist: a bottle popping arrival reception on the arrival tarmac. Flight guests will mingle with Toronto VIPs and toast the new service on touch-down with Mumm Napa® Sparkling Wine from California's Napa Valley....
So this is what the new rap artists have to compete with when they get into the game now? DAMN!

New Vid: Benny Benassi ft Kelis 'Spaceship'
This fist pumpers dream featuring Kelis is from Italian DJ and producer Benny Benassi( who is noted as ranked the 10th most popular DJ in the world according to The DJ List website) And I like it I think after Guetta started the trend of popular DJ's going completely main stream others would soon follow suit and I like it....SAU whatcha think? A brief cameo and quick verse from Jean-Baptist & apl.de.ap(B.E.P) is seen aswell check it out...
Left Behind: Raheem Devaughn Ft Ludacris 'Bulletproof'
Left behind are songs that I think were left behind and didn't get as much recognition as it could've and should've....This week is Raheem Devaughn's 'Bulletproof'...from his 'The Love & war masterpiece' Album Raheem Devaughn took us back to the days of very soulful lyrics, sampling Curtis Mayfield's 'Other side of Town' this song very much told a story of where Raheem thinks we are headed as a country if we don't straighten up and fly right....Very meaningful song...
Load It, Cock It, Aim and Shoot
(Repeat)
Living like we bulletproof
We bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang
I say we load it, cock it, aim and shoot
Oh we load it, cock it, aim and shoot
Some will die over oil kill over land
Charge you for taxes and Blame Uncle Sam
Read you your rights and charge you for nothing
Now who’s really gangsta
And tell me who’s frontin’
Murder your sons, ravage your daughters
Here overseas and across the waters
Tanks and missiles, bombs and grenades
Inject the land with guns and aids
You better pray to the most high or who ever you praise
Politicians can’t help you they puppets to slaves
Trying to get paid and you are too
Whatcha gone do when the gun is pointed at you
Like bank robbers
Living like we bulletproof
We bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang
We load it, cock it, aim and shoot
(load it, cock it, aim and shoot)
We load it, cock it, aim and shoot
(We gone die)
We bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang
(I say) We load it, cock it, aim and shoot
(load it, cock it, aim and shoot)
Oh we load it, cock it, aim and shoot
Hey world
Get you a paper turn on the news
Ride through the hood I witness the blues
How can you ignore it it’s easy to spot it
A trap house, a liquor store and your city’s got it
And my city’s got it, and they city’s got it
This world is chaotic and love is symbolic
So life don’t get cherished, and our babies perish
And your babies perish now tell me who’s careless
Now who should I pray to what should I pray for
You can’t pay the preacher for your redemption
I know where we’re headed, I already read it
The good book done said it
Like cowboys and Indians
We just living like we bulletproof
We bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang
We load it, cock it, aim and shoot
(load it, cock it, aim and shoot)
We load it, cock it, aim and shoot
(We gone die, living)
Living like we bulletproof
We bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang
(I say) We load it, cock it, aim and shoot
(load it, cock it, aim and shoot)
Oh we load it, cock it, aim and shoot
(We gone die, living)
New Music: Jazmine Sullivan 'Holding You Down"(Goin' In Cricles)
It looks like Ms. 'I need You Bad' is back with her new single 'Holding You Down'. This song samples: Mary J Blige 'Be Happy', From what I hear 'The Firm (Nas, AZ, Foxy Brown, Cormega) 'Affirmative action'(below), and Slick Rick's 'La Di Da Di, and from what it sounds Biz Markie's 'Make The Music With your Mouth' & "The Honey Drippers 'Impeach The President' (LOL check me out)
I'm a fan of Jazmine's voice, But when I think of Jazmine's very emotional deeply rooted vocals and all that damn soul, I see a plain melody letting her blast through the whole thing exposing her vocals...One might say that all these samples do nothing for her crown jewel which is her voice. But I think Jazmine could sing anything for anyone and make it soulful, so being that this is more hip hop/R&B as opposed to straight R&B/Soul which I think Jazmine could have on complete lock, this is pretty aight to me nothing more..SAU whatcha think is this the one for Jazmine?
Eminem Almost Platinum Already.....
To everyone's surprise LOL Eminem has debuted at number one on Billboard 200 with 'Relapse' Selling 753,870 copies in his first week. DAYUM....
In other Eminem News the rap star recently sat down with Vibe to talk about his feelings on getting left out of MTV's Hottest MC's of 09' list:
"That hottest MC list that I was left off, it was one of those things that I was glad that I am at where I'm at. I’m glad I’m in this place now, because a few years ago I would've let it bother me more than it did. I took it not as a slap in the face but more so like, "Maybe I’m not on that list for a reason. Maybe I’m not doing the things that I need to be doing. Maybe I need to look at myself and step it up." I don’t know what I would have thought being in the mind state that I was in. I just felt like maybe I need to do better."...Welp apparently not MR. 753,870
What A Lucky Day For This Choir....

Now as far as the video and Fonzworth as a rapper AYYYYYY Dunno about that part as of yet, but the chorus and synth heavy production is Fire when the hook hit thats it...Damn shame his production is better than half of these rappers out now...SMH Producers credited for this one are by Christopher Scholar co-produced by Dion Watkins
To hear the song Exit the video:
Um...Breaker Breaker One Nine We Have An Amber Alert In Full Progress.....
Remember these guys? Limp Bizkit with lead singer Fred Durst had such hits as 'Nookie', 'Re-arranged' and 'My Way' are on the road to coming back to the rocking fans...After performing in May on the Jay Leno Show and last year a brief interview regarding the albums first single where Durst stated "We are getting a little grief from the big wigs as to what single "they" want out first. Obviously "we" are pushing for "Douchebag". If they choose to run with something else we will figure out a way to release it anyway." The band looks to be having quite the time giving the fans what they want.
After the Jay Leno performance the band was scheduled to embark on a full U.S. tour in July, but was postponed to fall 2010 due to the bands desire to play arenas instead of amphitheaters. Starting in August and into the fall the band is scheduled to perform a full European tour followed by a South Ameican tour...So will their new album 'Gold Cobra' be released soon? We sure shall see but until then ...
Lauryn Hill Speaks...
NPR.org recently got granted a once in a lifetime chance to get in a quick interview with Lauryn Hill and to the surprise of many she opened up! Check out what she had to say...
When they asked the simple yet so complex question of: Why did you stop putting out music?
Lauryn Hill: "There were a number of different reasons," she says. "But partly, the support system that I needed was not necessarily in place. There were things about myself, personal-growth things, that I had to go through in order to feel like it was worth it. In fact, as musicians and artists, it's important we have an environment — and I guess when I say environment, I really mean the [music] industry, that really nurtures these gifts. Oftentimes, the machine can overlook the need to take care of the people who produce the sounds that have a lot to do with the health and well-being of society, or at least some aspect of society. And it's important that people be given the time that they need to go through, to grow, so that the consciousness level of the general public is properly affected. Oftentimes, I think people are forced to make decisions prematurely. And then that sound radiates."
People I'm not sure if Lauryn is on the track to coming back to us, but if so.... It'll be like the music industry getting a full face lift! Just imagine Lauryn, John Legend, Andre 3000, and D'Angelo coming out around the same time...Ok maybe my thoughts just got the best of me :(
Check out the rest of the Lauryn Hill interview:

WWE Recap....By Ryan
Raw started off with WWE Champion Sheamus coming out to the ring, as soon as he reached the ring he grabbed the Mic and said: he's watched the footage of Nexus taking out McMahon last week. He said he's disgusted by what happened. As WWE champion, he's going to make a statement on behalf of the company. Sheamus's statement: "The champ is here!" That drew good heat from the crowd mocking John Cena's catchphrase. Sheamus said the "Nexus lads" got involved in his match last week, but he would have beaten Cena last week in the title match and the one good thing to come out of last week was that Cena is no longer the #1 contender to the WWE Title because he used his re-match clause. He said now he no longer has to look at those "tacky orange t-shirts" and listen to Cena's catchphrases. Sheamus mocked Cena's mockery of him before grunting, "I hate you, Cena, I hate you!" Sheamus: 'Cena can get to the back of the line because he's never
getting a title shot again'
Cena hit the ring and surveyed the crowd before Sheamus told him he's not getting another shot at the title or him again. Cutting off Sheamus and slowly walking toward him. He said he came out here to ask for help. Sheamus smirked. Cena said everyone saw how Sheamus won and kept the title, but he's here for Nexus. He said they almost ended his career and they're going after Sheamus next since he's the WWE champ. He said he knows Sheamus can fight and if he wants to keep his WWE Title and career, then help him. Cena said it's one night only - a fight side-by-side against the entire group. Suddenly, the MacBook made a noise as Cena said they're going to have a brawl right now.
Michael Cole stood up and actually had a podium next to the announce table to read an email from the 'anonymous Raw GM.' Cole said he will wait until next week to take action against Nexus. He will allow Wade Barrett to present his case to WWE officials. As far as tonight is concerned, Cole read that if any member of Nexus makes contact with a WWE wrestler, he will be terminated. However, if any WWE wrestler initiates contact with Nexus, he will be suspended. After that the GM went on to announce that John Cena will have a rematch for the title at the Money in the bank ppv inside of a Steel Cage.
Sheamus Vs Mark Henry
Sheamus landed clubbing offense early on before Henry blocked a clothesline attempt. Henry then hit a big splash, but Sheamus put his foot on the bottom rope for a break. Sheamus tried to retreat on the outside, but Henry followed and press-slammed him back into the ring. Henry was too slow following up, allowing Sheamus to hit a bicycle kick to the face for the pin and the win. The match looked like it was not taken seriously by both wrestlers to me which is a shame because it had potential to be a lot better.
In the next segment Ricky Steamboat walked out to the ring where Jerry Lawler was promoting Ricky's new DVD which comes out today... Lawler and Steamboat shook hands before Lawler asked some legends to come out to the ring to honor Steamboat. Out came WWE agents and writers Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko, Mike Rotunda, and Michael P.S. Hayes. (Anderson looks like he can still go). Malenko said 'it's an honor to share this moment him with him'. He said he can't wait to watch the DVD with some of Steamboat's greatest matches. Rotunda, a/k/a I.R.S. said he never had the privilege of facing Steamboat, but when the money starts rolling in from the DVD, be sure to pay your taxes. Hayes talked about them not getting much camera time the last three or four years, so he's going to do this...Hayes did the Freed birds dance and slapped hands with Steamboat.
Anderson then took the mic and did a classic Double A promo. Anderson said he must have wrestled Steamboat a hundred times, but he never beat him. He thanked Steamboat for creating magic with him in the ring. Anderson said people will talk about the Top Five. He listed the names Triple H, The Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels But he'll always have Steamboat on the top of his list.
Steamboat started to cut a promo, then out walked the Nexus on stage, slowly to the ring. The WWE Legends in the ring took off their jackets and rolled up their sleeves as the Nexus crew came entering the ring. Heath Slater entered, then was rolled out of the ring. Michael Tarver tried to enter, but he was kicked out. Nexus then dragged Anderson out of the ring and pounded on him ringside. Tarver eventually attacked Rotunda from behind and they dragged him out of the ring to deliver a beat down ringside. Steamboat, Lawler, and Hayes were left in the ring. Nexus slowly made their way onto the ring apron to surround them. After a few moments, all six hit the ring and started pounding on the legends. They knocked Lawler out of the ring and pounded on him ringside. Hayes ate the ring apron while Steamboat was left alone in the ring. Skip Sheffield looked like an absolute beast during this whole bit.
Nexus eventually made their way back into the ring to surround Steamboat as he pulled himself to his feet. Steamboat looked at all six of them as Sheffield egged him on. To make a long story short Steamboat got one hell of a beating but never lost his style. Off note, Michael Cole was silent throughout this after the Nexus group walked on stage. Another solid advancement with the Nexus group after the set-up by the mystery Raw GM at the top of the show.
The Main Event
CHRIS JERICHO & EDGE & U.S. champion THE MIZ & TED DIBIASE vs. RANDY ORTON & JOHN MORRISON & R-TRUTH & EVAN BOURNE........ An 8 man tag match
As the bell sounded DiBiase and Morrison paired off against each other. Truth tagged in, landed a slap, than through Ted over the top rope. Bourne followed with a running kick strike off the ring apron that took DiBiase to the floor again. Back in the ring, Bourne went to work on DiBiase with more kick strikes. Miz made his way into the ring and battled with Bourne, who landed a double-foot smash to the jaw followed by a corner strike for a two count.
The heels cut off Bourne and Jericho tagged in. Jericho cockily walked around the ring to draw heat before going to work on Bourne. Jericho then mocked Orton's ballerina pose with a smug look on his face before throwing Bourne back into the ring. Jericho paintbrushed Bourne, who teased a hot tag to Orton until Jericho pulled him back to the heel corner to tag in Miz.
Jericho made a tag for the heels and Bourne made a tag for the babyfaces. Bourne landed signature high-flying offense on Jericho before going up top. Jericho cut him off and teased a superplex, but Bourne knocked him to the mat. Bourne then airballed Air Bourne and Jericho immediately followed with the Codebreaker. (Brilliant exchange). Jericho couldn't make a cover, so he went to his corner to tag in DiBiase. Meanwhile, Bourne made the St. Louis connection to Orton and the crowd exploded for Orton's first entry in the match. Orton immediately dropped DiBiase with the RKO and made a cover for the win. (That was quick).
After the match Edge jumped Orton from behind to clear him out of the ring. Edge then tried to use a ladder, but Truth and Morrison dropkicked the ladder into Edge's face. Suddenly, heels and faces exchanged finishing moves on each other. Miz was left alone in the ring staring up at the briefcase hanging above the ring. Miz then set up a ladder and climbed the ladder. Orton had other ideas and re-entered the ring to knock Miz off the ladder.
The crowd chanted, "Randy, Randy" as he set up the ladder and climbed toward the briefcase to end the show.
The match was a good forum to hit key points on the stars involved in the MITB ladder match at the PPV. The final segment could have used a non-physical appearance by the Nexus group to show they're still lurking in the background, but WWE wanted to focus solely on the MITB PPV to close the show. It was a bit of an anti-climatic ending after three weeks of Nexus-related angles to close Raw. Overall, it was fine to create some visuals to help sell the ppv

Bet Awards What Did Ya Think?....
So although I wasn't here yesterday we of course have to catch up with what happened over the weekend.. I.E the BET awards... All in all the show was pretty good with the exception of The Prince Tribute (where prince didn't perform). Alicia Keys did wonderful throughout the night along with Eminem, our boy B.o.B, Kanye West, and Monica, most of the performances were great! (Trey Songz doing Purple Rain in front of the leader of the purple underworld???? OUCH)....But of course the hot topic of the night was Chris Brown's Very emotional tribute to Michael Jackson ending it with singing a heartbreaking rendition of "Man In The Mirror".
So... Chris Brown's tribute was one that I was really looking forward to being that he was the only one yet to pay his respect to the KING in the form of dance, and next he deserved to do just that after Chris' 07' performance at the MTV awards, where he payed a short homage to Mr. Jackson. In this 7 minute plus performance where Chris sang a plethora of songs including 'The Way You Make Me feel and danced to 'Remember The Time' I was thoroughly entertained all 7 minutes.
I think this was the best move for Chris all the way around especially the choice of song he chose to end this performance with. Now there are people saying this was a full publicity stunt but there are others that don't really care and are just tired of holding this against Chris Brown with him showing Sunday night that he still wants this and can take is head on with those dance moves. So I say that to say we all are entitled to a couple chances in this life and when I saw Chris actually breaking down, I of course felt the man, and looking at the whole situation within the music industry Chris could be well needed around the time a next album would be due to hit. So I say let by gones be by gones...SAU whatcha think, are we supporting Chris Brown again?

SAU Its Friday!!!!!!!
SAU we've made it! Its our wonderful holiday, but kinda bitter-sweet being that we're paying our respect to music as a whole in Michael Jackson.
Like many of you Michael was my hero and the man I thought I was going to marry (don't judge me). I have a respect that's unknown for this man being that I got many ass whippings for slicing my pants and putting on my mother's light makeup, because I wanted to be like what I thought was the most spectacular human show in the world on stage.
On This day last year our hero passed away but although its a sad day that he's not here, In the 504 they celebrate life and death so "Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez! With that said for a day I think its only right to put away everyone else and give our highest honor to the man that made music enjoyable for so many around the world, a man that broke down color boundaries and showed that talent out weights everything, and a man that can make the hardest thug from Jim Jones & Jay-Z to Raekwon and Kanye West pass the hell out! (LMAO) I'm trying my best to pay respect where its due so I hope you guys enjoy some of my favorite pickings (comment where you feel the need)...
Michael Jackson was an American recording artist, entertainer, and philanthropist. Referred to as the King of Pop, Jackson is recognized as the most successful entertainer of all time by Guinness World Records. His contribution to music, dance and fashion, along with a much-publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades. The eighth child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene alongside his brothers as a member of The Jackson 5 in the mid-1960s, and began his solo career in 1971.
In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music and the first African-American entertainer to amass a strong crossover following on MTV. The music videos for his songs, such as "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and "Thriller", were credited with transforming the medium into an art form and a promotional tool, and the popularity of these videos helped to bring the relatively new television channel to fame. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made him a staple on MTV in the 1990s. Through stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style have influenced numerous hip hop, pop, contemporary R&B and rock artists.
Remembering The King: 'You are Not Alone'...
The first and only video that had Michael's then wife Lisa Marie Presley was the only time we actually got to see Michael giving and receiving affection. But never mind all that, this song was an AMAZINGLY written song by R.Kelly.
Commercially, the song was a significant success. It holds a Guinness World Record as the first song in the 37-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 to debut at number one; it was later certified platinum by the RIAA. The song peaked highly in all major markets. "You Are Not Alone" was Michael Jackson's last number one hit song in the United States during his lifetime.
Remembering The King: Jackson 5 "Got To Be There"
SAU this is my favorite Michael Jackson song ever! Now although he was with the Jackson 5 this is out of all of them my favorite. Hey, I'm a sucker for a good R&B song that makes you want the one you love close. Also I remember hearing this for the first time thinking 'Is his voice really that high'? And 'are they still pushing him to go higher with each verse'? At that age you shouldn't have perfected your vocals on this level and it shows what an amazing talent he really was at this age.
Remembering The King: "Scream"
I actually remember the lead up to this video...Of course I was very young but I remember everyone making a big fuss including MTV,BET and other channels, so when I watched I remember thinking 'OMG they are really dancing this hard' It was a sight for my young eyes to see Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson in a video at the same time...Still trips me out to this day!
Remembering The King: Ne-Yo Sings 'Lady In My Life'...
Ne-yo could smash this song when the sun is coming up at 5am...So Since he thinks he's Michael Jackson anyway (LMAO JK)We had to give this one to Ne-yo. Great rendition every time!
Remembering The King: 'Man In The Mirror'/ Earth Song
SAU be real...Doesn't these two songs make you really evaluate who you are as a person? LMAO
Remembering The King: 'Human Nature'...
This is Michael Jackson Performing the. one. and. only. 'Human Nature' Live in Japan in 1987. I think it's just amazing that we actually got a chance to see what a real star is...When Michael took that stage everyone would faint..Could you see yourself doing that for any stars now? Especially your 'bust it baby' type artists? I think it was not only his talent that took our breath away but with out a doubt a combination of what he was singing and his talent...The perfect storm
Remembering The King: Did You Know....
The King got down like any of us in the car.... Michael was in Miami in rush Hour Traffic gettin down to R.Kelly's Ignition (R.Kelly this made you look REEEEEEAAALLLLL good) Truthfully doesn't this make you want to go download 'Ignition' from iTunes and act an ass?
Remembering The King: Alien Ant Farm 'Smooth Criminal'
Kiss my ass man this was HOT! (Check the little boy in the yellow shirt act a fool!)
Remembering The King: Beyonce' Sings 'Can't Help It'
This was right after Mr. Jackson passed away. In a show for Philadelphia on her 'I Am' tour Beyonce' reached out to pay her respects for the best to do it...Check it out..
Remembering The King: The Wiz 'You Can't Win"
Produced by Rob Cohen and directed by Sidney Lumet, The Wiz stars Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Nipsey Russell, Ted Ross, Mabel King, Theresa Merritt, Thelma Carpenter, Lena Horne, and Richard Pryor. The film's story was reworked from William F. Brown's Broadway libretto by Joel Schumacher, and Quincy Jones supervised the adaptation of Charlie Smalls and Luther Vandross' songs for film. A handful of new songs, written by Jones and the songwriting team of Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson, were added for the film version.
Upon its original theatrical release, The Wiz was a critical and commercial failure, and marked the end of the resurgence of African-American films that began with the blaxploitation movement of the 1970s. The film received four Academy Award nominations for Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Original Music Score and Best Cinematography.
There are a lot of all black cast movies that come and go but 'The Wiz' has to be one of my favorite! Although this one was commercially a failure I think it was the best thing since slice bread when my mother decided to share it with me for the first time....SAU whatcha think?
Remembering The King: Michael And Quincy ....
Hands up and Hands down we all know Quincy Jones is the best producer to ever live, check this rare footage of him with Michael Through out a day in the life of Making the 'Thriller' Video, The first of its kind...Am I the only one that still gets that nervous feeling when I see the Full 'Thriller' Video?...Don't judge me LOL
The second part shows a rare interview with Mike Jacks and Mr.Jones but the confusion of it all is do they really realize its a full boa constrictor on Michael's lap? Why is everyone acting like this was regular?...Gotta love it!
Remembering The King: The Jackson 5 'Can You Feel It'
Played by Black colleges everywhere, & Written by brothers Jackie and Michael, the song featured solo leads by Randy and Michael. Released as a single in 1981, the song reached #77 on the pop charts and number thirty on the R&B charts in United States, but reached number six in the UK and number two in The Netherlands in 1981.

M.I.A. Does GQ Mag...
MIA graces the thin covers of GQ magazine for their July issue...Wearing traditional garments, MIA talks about her upbringing in Sri Lanka,What she wants to wear to her wedding, and growing up without a dad...
'I lived on a street, a dead-end street. There were like seven or eight houses, and then you turn the corner and there was another seven, eight houses. But my whole family lived on the street. So it was amazing. I grew up with about a hundred of my cousins, playing hide-and-seek all over the village and the temples.'
Tears For A Never Forgotten Fear....
I bet most of you are wondering who in the hell are these two white men right?... Well have you ever awoke with a song in your heart? This morning was my morning. As an avid learner and lover of music as a whole, on the surface of my Ipod are the glorious songs of the 60's 70's and 80's where real music rented an apartment and stayed part time. Curt and Roland better known as 'Tears for fears' rocked out with their hits 'Rule The World' and 'Shout' (which are my personal favorites). Outstanding alone, these guys did their part in the 80' to define pop/Rock music.
Often forgotten being that 80's pop music was headlined by then up and coming Madonna, but when music like this gets left behind for the moment being that we're witnessing history in Madonna is that really a bad thing, when now if you get one hit song, most likely the rest that lag behind are your 'auto tune-filled-off-noted- soon-to-be-has-beens'? I mean check this... these guys 'lagged behind' yet and still sold 22 million world wide...think about it
Mostly made up of dead on stategically placed vocals, ''one foot taps', mulletts galore and longlasting beats that pop, Curt and Roland made your melodic ear spark up with lyrics including: " They give you life/but in return you gave them hell/ As cold as ice/I hope we live to tell the tale/.... songwriters and producers alike should bow at the initial hit of the distinct Anthem born material.
Now Although the facial features of tears for fears while singing brought out the fear in us all (LOL). Their stern unison brings a slight nod and a smile to a musical lovers head. Question: If an amazing band came along with serious vocals that you didn't want to admit but brought a slight nod to your head, would you turn away and not support because of the visual aspect that they bring to your eyes, Or would you say fuck it and love the musical orgasm that they bring you?..If not please don't waste your time pressing play on the youtube people
(Extended History)
Songs from the Big Chair became one of the year's biggest global sellers, eventually being certified triple-platinum in the UK and quintuple-platinum in the US (where it remained the #1 album for five weeks in the summer of 1985) before my time..
"Shout" (#4 UK, #1 in the US, Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, etc., "Everybody Wants to Rule the World", (their biggest UK and Irish hit at #2 and another #1 in the US and in Canada)
Lady Gaga: "My Next Album Is Finished"...
As Lady Gaga graces the covers of Rolling Stone Magazine recently, she also revealed that although touring like hell she is finished with her next album...
There are very few details out there about what Gaga's next album will sound like, but she say it's already finished. She's planning to announce the title of the album — due early next year — at midnight on New Year's Eve. "I think I'm gonna get the album title tattooed on me and put out the photo," she said. "I've been working on it for months now, and I feel very strongly that it's finished right now. It came so quickly. Some artists take years; I don't. I write music every day."
Covering such topics as love and celebrity on her previous efforts, this new album will veer more toward the political. "Why are we still talking about 'Don't ask, don't tell'? It's like, what f---ing year is it? It makes me crazy! And I have been for three years baking cakes — and now I'm going to bake a cake that has a bitter jelly. The message of the new music is now more bitter than it was before," she teased. "Because the sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be."
As growth is always the next topic of conversation when it comes to 'The Next Album', Lady Gaga was the one that stomped her foot in this new techno-pop area of music. Now that it seems to be fading (If only a tad) do you guys think Lady Gaga's next album will define who she is as an artist without a doubt?

SAU On The Lawn Spotlight....Broken Bells
Broken Bells is an American indie rock band featuring artist–producer Brian Burton (better known as Danger Mouse) and James Mercer, the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Portland indie rock band The Shins. The project was first announced on Tuesday, September 29, 2009. The pair decided to work together after meeting at the Roskilde Festival, a Danish music festival, in 2004 and finding they were fans of each other's work. It took four more years before the two started working together and by March 2008 Mercer and Burton began recording together in secret at Burton's Los Angeles-based studio. The two describe their material as "melodic, but experimental, too."
But I think this is nice 'full music' (If you will) They have obviously a lot of melodic material but their transitions within their music is very defined...Love it!
Drake Performs 'Find Your Love' On Jay Leno....
[Video] Drake - Find Your Love (Live On Jay Leno)
Drake I don't know about this performance, the entire thing just seemed a bit off to me..SAU whatcha think?
When Eminem Drops, They Support.....
While Drake is sitting at number one right now with his debut 'Thank me Later', Eminem is coming like a force to be reckoned with, playing the number one card, dropping his highly anticipated 'Recovery' Monday. Check what Billboard had to say about the numbers Em is expected to do..
.
"Recovery," released on June 21, is headed for the top spot next week with a very large sum. Industry sources estimate the album will rack up the biggest sales week of the year, as the set could exceed 600,000 copies by week's end on Sunday, June 27. There's even the chance it could surpass the 608,000 that Em's last set, "Relapse," started with last year.
"Recovery" is on track to be Eminem's sixth straight No. 1 debut -- and sixth overall No. 1. His only album to miss the top spot was his "Slim Shady LP" debut, which bowed and peaked at No. 2 in 1999.
A damn good look for music right now Congrats to Eminem!

Interview With Eminem....
Arguably the best rapper alive, Marshall Mathers stepped foot on this thing called rap and turned it completely upside down! Selling more than 80 million albums worldwide to date, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world, but Eminem has never forgotten where he's come from. The academy awards, The grammys,The albums sold is what we're getting to in this interview. Eminem made me step my game up 50x's bringing the big questions out for this one, but everytime I step it up, Eminem Steps it up just a tad higher... and although he's sold everything he could and basically done it all, he is absolutely one of the most Down to Earth motherfuc*ers I've ever met. Check it out...
Ms.A: What an honor it is to have you here at SAU Eminem how are you and how have you been?
Eminem: I have been great and I have been watching this SAU empire grow congrats on all of your success Ms.A!
Ms.A: You know that means a lot coming from you so thank you so much!
Ms.A: So The Grammys, the controversy, the records sold, I want to talk about it all...
Eminem: You got it, that's what I'm here for.
Ms.A: So your of course from Detroit Michigan, but growing up in Detroit, how do you think that influenced you as the rapper you are today?
Eminem: Growing up in Detroit has influenced me a lot, its not easy to make it to 21, let alone be successful coming from Detroit, but we're a hard working blue collar type of people, so that gave me the love and passion for what I put in my rhymes, and the strength to keep going.
Ms.A: Going back to the beginning... getting signed to Dr. Dre, you released the hard hitting 'Slim Shady LP' which made you significantly stand out among the rest, one because rap has never heard a rapper break out the box as you did and two...well..the obvious..Did you think that after the success of your first album, the train would continue and eventually blow up as it has?
Eminem: Ms.A, I could never dream of the success that has come after that album. I wish I could say I knew it was gonna be like this no one knew, but with the good comes an equal amount of bad so I don't see myself as a superstar at all, I feel blessed.
Ms.A: The Marshall Mathers LP which is the fastest selling solo album in history..where were you mentally going into this one?
Eminem: I was scared out of my mind working with Dr.Dre! I also knew that this was my last chance if I didn't make this happen it never was gonna happen being a White male trying to break into an African American dominated business and get respect has an extremely high difficult rate of success, so I knew only had one shot!
Ms.A: Do you think Dr.Dre felt the pressure as well?
Eminem: Hell No! I'm just a white boy from Detroit, his legacy was made with or without me NWA,Tupac little old me was just a blip!
Ms.A: Around the time the MMLP hit, we had your TRL's your 106&parks and other shows that boosted sales and likability of artists, giving them the chance to express themselves on a more global level..now that shows like that are basically extinct do you think artists no longer have a crutch and their music should speak for itself?
Eminem: Well as an artist, a lot of things are taking from under you. We don't have our own music to stand on because it gets taken from us. But of course its hard. I remember when I would go to TRL and Times Square would be shut down and millions of people would watch!
Ms.A: The good old days...
Eminem: Its not fair for me to really say because I'm fortunate to have built a brand in the "Good Ol Days". So the true wonder is how artist like B.o.B come from nothing grind and have the entire world against him to come and deliver 2 hits songs and a #1 record...
Eminem: It comes down to now a days that either you have a hell of a gimmick and a catchy song and you go #1, or you have a rare talent to breakthrough. There's gonna be a lot of good artist that get caught in the matrix and not noticed...
Ms.A: Damn good answer!
Ms.A: So how do you separate Eminem from Marshall Mathers? I saw the click just now but how do you separate the two?
Eminem: Its like when you punch in the time clock for work, when its time to work I become Eminem. When I'm living real life I'm Marshall its simple as that. Now I'm a fan of Beyonce's music and I'm not dissing her at all, but I don't have a persona, I'm not going 'Sasha fierce' and shit I don't want people to think that, but Eminem is just a job nothing more nothing less. Marshall is a man,a good friend, and more than anything a Father.
Ms.A: So with you selling millions of albums, worldwide tours, Grammy's and having the longest running number one in hip hop with 'Loose yourself'..can you relax?
Eminem: I went away for about 4 years Ms.A ,you want me to go again? LOL
Ms.A: Now you know relaxing and leaving are two different things!
Eminem: Seriously, one day I'm just gonna relax and sit down for good. I'm not gonna make a big deal about it, you just wont hear from me again.
Ms.A: Damn, and I'm suppose to just take that?
Eminem: LOL I'm not gonna make a big fuss Ms.A, I came and did what I had to do, and I don't want the farewell tour, I'm just gonna go home and finish raising my kid. I wont be 50 out here yelling 'I'm not afraid'
Ms.A: LOL
Eminem: At that point you damn right I'm afraid....Afraid I'm gonna cardiac arrest on stage!
Ms.A: LMAO!! So on to this new album...April 13th of this year you tweeted there is no 'Relapse 2' but the new album is now titled "Recovery" what can we expect on this one?
Eminem: I hope a lot of music you will like. I'm trying to kill off the accent and just rap. Trying to deliver a good solid album for my fans. There's also a few collabos that people wouldn't expect from me this time around.
Ms.A: like you just stated on this new single 'Not Afraid' you drop the accent and give us a more positive uplifting style of song..does this reflect where you are in life now?
Eminem: It does reflect that I'm sober I'm trying to be a better Dad I'm trying to be a better man! I have evolved but that's normal its time to stop acting like someone and be who I am.
Ms.A: You don't feel your past work is who you were or have grown to be now?
Eminem: It was who I was at the time, but if I would try to act like that now than I would be acting I have grown a lot in the last few years...
Ms.A: Speaking of Growth, the lyrics 'Lets be honest the last relapse album was ehhhhhh'..how do you as an artist get comfortable in yourself to say that about your own work?
Eminem: If you cant be honest with yourself ,than your lost as a human, I read reviews and I heard what my fans said, and they all had the same complaints and that was it. I wanted to let my fans know that I hear them and I listened they deserved that!
(Eminem 'Not Afraid')
Ms.A: All in all is "Recovery' some of your best work?
Eminem: I think its some of my best, but I wont know until my fans hear it and make that decision. I'm not high on glorifying my own work that's not my place.
Ms.A: So I'm going to ask this question but I'm definitely bracing myself... But What is your take on the music industry today?
Eminem: The Shit Sucks!
Ms.A: LMFAO!!
Eminem: We are force fed what radio programmers want us to listen to! Go through the top 10 hot 100 how many songs will be remembered or are even good?
Eminem: Its sad, but you have 1 or 2 good producers putting out good songs and a handful of artist, and when good artist come along we don't appreciate them Leona Lewis' Cd was great, but in America we are so caught up with women who where the whackest outfits I have ever witnessed in my life, but we ignore damn good music? how sad!
Eminem: Ms.A, I was in Europe listening to the popular radio station and 6 artist who came on in a row on the station were Adele,Sia,Leona Lewis,John Legend, U2, and Amy winehouse. What radio station will give you a 5 song set like that?
Eminem: That's why truthfully in about 5 more years only Europeans will have great music and we wont! How many radio spins you think Amy Winehouse gets a week in the U.S Ms.A?
Ms.A: I believe below what she completely deserves! I think Amy Whinehouse set the bar high for a bunch of females but we fell short after she left...
Eminem: Your right! We have fallen short and according to sound scan she got 26 spins all of last week in America. That's a shame with all of the radio stations we have.
Ms.A: SAU let that marinate...
Ms.A:Eminem it was such an honor having you chat with SAU I appreciate it more than you know!
Eminem: Anytime Ms.A thank you for such a great interview. Thanks For the support SAU!

Amy Winehouse's Impromptu Duet With Father.....
Could Amy Winehouse be feeling the bug of performing again? Well maybe that's a bit much to assume for now, but on Father's Day Ms. Winehouse joined her dad on stage for an impromptu performance as a "surprise Father's Day gift". Mitch Winehouse sang at the closing night of legendary venue PizzaExpress' Pizza In The Park in London on Father's Day and daddy's girl Amy joined him to sing four songs, which reportedly included 'Fly Me To The Moon' and 'Girl From Ipanema'.
The pair were reportedly in high spirits as they performed the evidently unrehearsed duet, with Amy, 26, fondly rebuking Mitch for singing over her.
I don't know about you guys but when Amy's first album 'Back To Black' hit the scene it was something needed at that point in music...Amy that point is here again..

WWE Raw Recap...By Ryan
...And out to start the show was Vince McMahon strutting out on stage. It's 1994 all over again with McMahon doing his throaty "Welcome everyone to Monday Night Raw". He started off the show by saying there is only one person to blame for last night and that is Bret Hart. McMahon believed him firing Wade Barrett and sending the NXT Rookies packing, set off a chain of events. Hart being injured on Raw last week was no excuse to no-show the PPV Mcmahon thought. Hart didn't hire extra security or inform the WWE wrestlers that another invasion could be coming, so Vince says everything is his fault.
McMahon paused and said as a result of this chaos, he is relieving Bret Hart of his duties as GM of Raw. "In other words, Bret, you're fired," he said. McMahon smiled and said it gives him closure. He then went on to say that he had a real big announcement that the new Raw GM has been hired but will remain anonymous. The first match that the new General Manager of Raw made was a main event for the World Heavyweight title John Cena Vs Sheamus with Vince McMahon as the special guest ref.
Evan Bourne Vs Chris Jericho
This was another good match between these two the perfect follow up to there great match on Sunday night at the PPV. Jericho and Bourne went at it for nearly 10 minutes it was a hard fought match with several near pin falls by Bourne but Jericho pulled it out with the codebreaker and scored the pin.
Tamina VS Natalya
After a back-and-forth opening to the match, the NXT Rookies suddenly walked out through the crowd to interrupt. Wade Barrett then grabbed a mic and said they just want to apologize nice and clean. Kidd wanted nothing to do with that and tried a flip dive onto the Rookies ringside. The Rookies proceeded to beat down Kidd and leave HD out cold ringside to proceed with their "heartfelt apology" that went as so...
The Great Khali and Eve VS Primo and Alicia Fox
Khali and Primo set up to start things off, but Primo tagged out to Alicia, which meant Eve had to tag in. Eve and Alicia traded offense, then Alicia cut off Eve and began a methodical attack. Alicia tried to set up a corner attack, but Eve cut her off and hit a top rope moonsault. Primo broke up a pin attempt and apparently re-entered himself into the contest. That meant Khali had to tag in. Primo begged off and dropped down to both knees. He then came to his feet and tried a forearm, but Khali shook him off. Meanwhile, Alicia took off to the back with her title, wanting no part of this. Khali chopped Primo, then gave him a big Punjabi Plunge for the pin and the win. Primo sold it as if he were a body outline at a crime scene. Eve and Khali then danced to conclude another awkward pairing for Eve following Chris "pec dance" Masters.
John Cena VS Sheamus
The match started quickly with both wrestlers trading blows before they cut to a commercial break.Once back from break Cena landed body shots, but missed with a corner attack and ate the ringpost. Cena slowly rolled to the ring apron as Sheamus slowly came to his feet. Sheamus missed with a running knee strike, but he cut off Cena in the ring with a running clothesline. Meanwhile, Lawler speculated who the new Raw GM is. Sheamus continued a nice, methodical attack on Cena, who kept selling the effects to build to that inevitable comeback.
Cena tried the AA, but Sheamus raked the eyes and hit the Irish Curse backbreaker for a two count only. Sheamus regrouped, then tried his Outsider's Edge drop, but Cena slipped out and immediately countered with the STF. Sheamus teased a tap out, but eventually grabbed the bottom rope for a break.
Sheamus rolled to the floor and Cena tried to follow but than Suddenly, the NXT Rookies hit the ringside area and cleared Sheamus, who took off running into the stands. The Rookies then grabbed Cena and pulled him to the outside. McMahon watched as the Rookies dumped the announce table onto Cena, ending his night ouch!. McMahon walked over to the Rookies and surveyed the scene with them, showing approval. McMahon then walked into the ring with mic in hand and told the Rookies to leave Cena alone. McMahon asked if Cena's still breathing, then he asked the Rookies to walk into the ring. A smiling Mcmahon yelps "these extraordinary athletes," which drew boos. McMahon said he can't take full responsibility, but he can take partial responsibility for all their actions against Lawler, Cole, Hart (especially), and Cena. He asked for a round of applause for himself. He then said it's been interesting this week, but next week, the new GM will reveal something.
McMahon paused and stared down all of the Rookies, who were glaring at him. The crowd just yelled, not knowing how to react. McMahon then smiled and said they almost had him for a second. He said his life flashed before him. McMahon endorsed Barrett before some in the crowd chanted, "Daniel Bryan." McMahon laughed, paused, and said this is just about it. Let's call it a night. Suddenly, the Rookies circled McMahon again. McMahon shot them all funny faces as the Rookies remained standing in place.
Suddenly, they all jumped McMahon and beat him down in the ring. They fed McMahon to Tarver, who landed a big knock-down clothesline. Barrett then gave McMahon his big slam finisher and McMahon crumbled to the ground. Barrett called for the 450 Splash and Gabriel went up top before staring down at McMahon. He took his time before nailing the 450 Splash on McMahon. The Rookies stared down at McMahon, then Barrett told them to leave. The crowd chanted, "NXT, NXT" as the Rookies left the ring satisfied with their work. They cut back to a shot of McMahon motionless in the ring. The cameraman shooting the shot of McMahon dropped his camera and called for some help out here. They cut back to a shot of McMahon out cold on the mat as the show ended..Good show Universe?
