Just days after the NYPD denied the hip hop artist a permit to perform atop the marquee of the Ed Sullivan Theater, Jay-Z and Eminem teamed up for a joint show much higher in the sky: A makeshift stage was set up on the rooftop of the theater. Check out a quick performance....

New Music: Maroon 5 'Misery'

As we said previously, Maroon 5 is back with their first Single from their new up coming album 'Hands All Over' titled 'Misery' and this single is anything but. With their familiar spunky sound that keeps you singing their songs, and happy guitar rifts with an over flow of guilty pleasurable lyrics, (and chorus "I'm gonna get you bad") This will obviously make pop radio mesmerized at it's touch tomorrow...I will say it...Maroon 5 is back I love it..BUT I can't wait to hear the album, with producer Robert "Mutt" Lange taking on this challenge I hope to hear a diverse sound from Maroon 5 this time around. We're not too sure about who had the song first, but here's a rendition of 'Nothing On You' Ft Bruno Mars done by Lupe Fiasco...Makes me think that he had it first, which wouldn't be a bad thing because this version did nothing for Lupe's style of rap and nothing for him as an artist. So If he did have it first that was a good move giving it up...gotta know when to hold em, Know when to fold em people...

Much Music Awards.....

Welp, Watching this last night was really horrible...The performances were nothing to scream and yelp about, Drake's performance was stalled for about 10 minutes, Miley Cyrus did a mediocre job as host..While the other hosts couldn't stall to save their lives and Justin Bieber was of course the man of the night.. but not a good show at all people. This group Hedley did catch my eye while they were performing and they also won video of the year at the Much Music Awards last night so Check Hedley's rehersal out, and here's to hoping next year's show will either be pre taped or put together Mucho better...

Will. I. Am Is Walking On Fame...

It looks like this has been one hell of a year for Black Eyed Peas front man Will.I.Am, It was just announced that Black Eyed Peas front man will.i.am are among 30 new celebs who will be recipients of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011.

Fellow musicians Melissa Etheridge, Rascal Flatts, Slash and Bebe & Cece Winans join will.i.am in the aforementioned category, while celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, 'American Idol' creator Simon Fuller, Neil Patrick Harris, Tina Fey, Reese Witherspoon, The Muppets and more are among the chosen.

So I guess Will.i.Am is seriously certified a Star now. Speaking of star check out a song from Will.i.am's second solo album 'Songs about girls" album called 'She's A Star'..great song..

YUP, As I guessed from the beginning the Lakers are officially the world Champions. In a very skilled game 7 where Kobe was said to be having an 'Off' Night, The World Champion Lakers beat the Celtics in an 83-79 victory. Kobe now has a ring for every finger and told the press 'I have more rings than Shaq' Who has 4.

Bob Marley & Earth Wind & Fire Inducted Into Songwriters Hall Of Fame...

Legendary soul Band Earth Wind & Fire and the late Bob Marley are among the 2010 inductees into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, The ceremony, which will be held Thursday in New York City, celebrates songwriters, for their accomplishments and for being an inspiration to their fellow colleagues.

David Foster, who is also being inducted, cited “After the Love Has Gone,” a song he co-wrote for Earth, Wind & Fire, as one of the defining moments of his career.

"Our 2010 inductees are truly representational of the heart and soul of the world's Popular Music soundtrack," Chairman/CEO Hal David said in a statement. "We are looking forward to another memorable evening where we honor their extraordinary accomplishments."

Former Genesis front man Phil Collins, already a Songwriters Hall of Fame member, will receive its highest honor, the Johnny Mercer Award. Country sensation Taylor Swift is getting the Hal David Starlight Award for emerging songwriters, while other hall inductees include Leonard Cohen, Jesse Stone, Laura Nyro, Jackie DeShannon, Johnny Mandel, Matt Dennis and Sunny Skylar

New Music: Marsha Ambrosius 'I Hope She Cheats/Bitter'

One half of Floetry Ms.Marsha Ambrosius, has stepped up to the plate with a new song "I hope She Cheats/Bitter". Trying her part to make her new album '"Late Nights & Early Mornings" (scheduled for release Summer 2010) worth the wait. But with this new single that is as dumbed down as it can be to fit her voice...It takes a complete turn from her roots. Her voice that's always on point isn't stretched the the max, and I can imagine she could sing this at the crack of dawn, but I will say the production does stand a chance, if the production team makes it drop much much harder and fine tune a couple problem areas. Of course this couldn't be the final version but all in all it has potential.

It was one of the most played songs on the radio during 1998. With that piano melody that goes for days and makes you think of the one you love, how could I not post this one? Looks like Eminem is planning this album to be huge! Eminem is now added to the list of performers of this year's BET Awards (hosted by Queen Latifah) Eminem hasn't set foot on the Award show stage since 2006 during Busta Rhymes “Touch It (Remix)” performance. SAU On The Lawn Spotlight: The Paper Tongues

The Paper Tongues were formed in Charlotte, North Carolina. Made up of members Aswan North, Devin Forbes, Cody Blackler, Joey Signa, Clayton Simon, Jordan Hardee and Danny Santell. There style is a fusion of massive rock and roll melodies with hip-hop beats all of which they use on there self titled debut album out now on A&M/Octone Records. Lead singer Aswan North, helped found the “Inprov Music Experience”, a weekly event where musicians played for the homeless at a main intersection in the middle of the city where the band often performed.

The lead singer Aswan North who's vocal style has been said to fall in between Al Green's Sultry Falsetto and Steve Perry's uplifting Bravado, took the bands street sounds and his songwriting to Los Angeles to work with such producers as Brian West , Mark Endert (Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw, Madonna), and Billy Hume (Ying Yang Twins, Bone Crusher, David Banner) On March 30 2010 the band released there debut album which so far has spawned 2 singles "Ride To California" and "Trinity"

OK maybe I just posted his picture so I could see it every time I check the blog, But Lenny Kravitz hasn't had an album out since 08' with 'It is time for a love Revolution' right? Sources say Kravitz's next album Funk will now be called Negrophilia and is set to be due out sometime in 2010. Of course I love Mr.Kravitz when it comes to the movies but I would love to hear those tunes he's singing so lovely as well..So I'm just putting you all on notice that I've noticed.
