New Music: Lupe Fiasco "The Show Goes On"
New Music from Lupe Fiasco has hit the scene titled "The Show Goes On". Finally getting the green light for his "Lasers" album which hits stores March 8th, 2011. Rather early to be releasing a single, but hey, at least he has an album release date. "The Show Goes On" is produced by Kane Beatz and samples the indie Rock Band Modest Mouse "Float On" which you can also hear below...
Now although this is a rather so so song from Lupe, it could potentially grow on me. As far as the beat, I like it but this beat which was built around the Modest Mouse sample rings loud during the verses but takes a backseat throughout the hook...Turn that MotherFu**er UP! It's an awesome sample! Check out the original...

ReplyDeleteDo you feel like your the go to Urban producer? because your on fire right now

ReplyDeleteWhat made you use float on as a sample Kane? awesome choice of sample and very unique
ReplyDeleteI cant say I feel like the go to guy out here Im very much a rookie Im just happy for a chance to be on the radio and getting placements.Im not into that who is the best stuff really if at some point I'am its for someone else to say not me
ReplyDeleteFloat on is one of my favorite songs and I love modest mouse so I have been waiting a long time until I was able to put that sample with a beat and Im glad it came out ok
ReplyDeleteHe is still here this is cool producers rarely come talk to us
ReplyDeleteMy horns are a sample sound I wont say which kind but they are a sample sound.Im hoping withn the next year or so I can start incorporating live sounds into my tracks Im trying to learn about that now
ReplyDeleteHave you talked to Wayne how is he?
ReplyDeleteare you guys working together when he gets out?
ReplyDeleteKane when I hear your tracks they have a tendancy to open up and get spacious is that your style or is that just where you are in your music creation process right now?
ReplyDeleteWayne is amazing to work with you know as a producer there's 2 things that can go on with you and an artist and thats 1. the producer can make the artist look good....2.The artist can make the producer look good and that what Wayne does he makes my job so easy man.I find it a true blessing to work with him and I learn so much about my craft working with him
ReplyDeleteI have talked to Wayne and he has been doing good since his stay and he cant wait to get out next week man the entire family is so excited.
ReplyDeleteYou are nice guy Im gonna start following you now
ReplyDeleteI have a fascination with big records thats why I try to bring that into hip hop.I was in the band in high school and I love horns
ReplyDeleteIf you could get in the studio with any producers of today and have a session who would it be?
ReplyDeleteWho's your favorite producer of all time?
ReplyDeleteMy fav producer of all -time is Quincy Jones
ReplyDeleteI would love to get a session in with Just Blaze and the Mad Scientist there my 2 favorite producers of today.Especially the mad scientist when I met Wayne and after we really started working together he gave me home work to do and he let me hear some of the mad scientist real early production work and I have followed up to know and he is my fav producer by far and I look up to him I really do
