New Vid: B-To The O-B "Don't Let Me Fall"....
It's finally here folks, our boy has released the official video for his new single "Don't let me fall" which is his 5th single from his DEBUT album "The Adventures Of Bobby Ray"...I love it! But hey in our eyes B.o.B can do no wrong...B.o.B who's signed to Grand Hustle/Atlantic, has been completely jumping into the hearts of many and created a new lane for himself (which I deem "Rapternative") and can take this all the way! LET's Go B.o.B!!
How are you today? Thank you so much for this response to the song Im in shock I really am Im in total shock I didnt know you guys were gonna like it this much and I really appreciate it.Thank you so much you guys as long as you like it I know I can take on the world with it
Rapternative is awesome to me I love it I feel like I have a place I belong thank you Ms.A.Lets give it up to Ms.A aint she the best I just saw her really fast find the name of the Nicki Minaj sample she is the human IPod.I couldnt find it and I was looking for 10 minutes because it was eating me
B.o.B I was wondering if you can tell us about some personal insight to this song like the making of it a cool story are something I know you and the mad scientist crafted this right?
When this song was made it was about a 6 hour recording session which I like to call the greatest session of my entire life.First of I actually went in the studio with Mike as a new artist that is unheard of and I was scared shitless of him and I was so nervous but in this session Dont let me fall and Ghost in the Macheine came to life and I swear I will never forget this day... Because this is a day I feel like my artistry went to another level.Im not gonna go deep into the story but I will tell you guys some cool points so here we go
Well when we sat down and discussed what we were going today he played me these piano chords that he had already arranged and put together before he got to the studio and that was the Piano arrangement he used for Dont Let Me Fall.So I was going through some rhymes looking for stuff I had been working on and I just notice this piano arrangement building and building and building.Got on the digital programmer and drum pad and acted a fool. And I know you guys hear producers saying that they did a track in 15 minutes or whatever.Just as a side note dont believe most of them there just trying to make themselves look good. But he really built dont let me fall from the keys on up to what it is now in 16 minutes I watched him do it and I was in awe.He is so cool he made no mention to the time that passed he just said ok I think Im finished I cant hear anything else in it and he asked me to vibe to it for a minute
The next thing I remember I was working in the both trying to lay the vocals down and find my flow and everything and I thought I was finding it.There was an engineer there and he was trying to get the volumes right and Mike was at the computer and he was doing something strange. It wasnt strange but its really old school. If you guys every look up Quincy Jones in the Studio back than he used to have print out of his compesitons and arrange it on paper because there was no computer programs to edit your arrangement digitally. But nowadays Protools will do it for you and it makes it alot easier on the producer. But Mike did his by hand with a print out of the compistion and it was almost surreal to see him doing that he had an ear bud in his ear trying to peice stuff together. But nowadays to see a producer do it by hand is rare but that shows the talent and the extra mile with him.So the beat is playing loud Im in the booth trying to work this out and go in on the record and do the best I can do on it while he is there arranging this by hand.So the engineer leaves out the room for a smoke break and I thought I was eating the track going in.When the other guy left Mike pressed stop on the music and I had no idea he was even listening to me in the booth. He pressed stop on the music and pressed the in the booth intercom button as asked me "are you done yet?" I thought he ment with the song so I said no not yet I got the second verse to construct and he said "No not the song....done with acting like your scared of the beat letting it run you and being lazy on it...are you ready to take ownership of this song like I know you can let me know when you are...." So I just stood there looking and he went back to his paper arranging and Im in the booth like OMG I just fucked up in front of him oh shit I was panicking so I stood and looked at the Mic for 5 minutes before I stepped out the booth.Than me and him took a walk outside and talked and I have to say that alot of artist dont work with him but being a producer is part psychology and his studio psychology is A+ I have to say.I wont say what he told me on that walk but till this day I still use those words and it took me to the next level
After the walk he helped me on my delivery and got my notes right and vocally produced me to the best I ever sounded until we did Ghost in the macheine. Those 2 songs are the best I have ever sounded in my opinion I didnt know I could sound like that.He pushed me to be a far better artist than I was before I walked in that studio that day
I have worked with him in the studio before and genius is not a good enough if he says something the artist better listen.....You see B.o.B killed this record....But he does have a smart ass mouth but its needed with these artist and there egos
