Left Behind: Groove Theory's "Tell Me"
Groove Theory which was a R&B and hip hop music duo formed in New York City in 1993 when singer Amel Larrieux met rapper Bryce Wilson through a mutual friend, and while Amel was working at Rondor Music NY, as a receptionist. The two found themselves perfect for each other as both were upset with the direction their career was taking. Wilson hoped to use the group as a chance to utilize his production talents while Larrieux wanted a chance to shine in R&B.
But before the breakup they spawned the song (And one of my first cassettes) "Tell me" "Tell Me" reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and number three on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and is still to this day one of my favorite joints that I rock to in the house or car....
