Throwback Of The Day: Fuel "Hemorrhage"(In My Hands)

"Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" is a song by the rock band Fuel, released as the first single from their album Something Like Human. The single spent twelve weeks at number one on the U.S. Modern Rock Tracks chart and is the band's most successful song to date. An acoustic version is a bonus track on the special edition.

To date, "Hemorrhage" is Fuel's highest charting single on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts, peaking at #30.

The first verse deals with the male point of view of a relationship that you've gotten burned on, and the person has come back to you. But by then, there's been damage beyond repair. The second verse kind of shows the vulnerability of the girl...It's always an interesting situation and a pretty wrenching one as well."-Carl Bell, Billboard magazine, 2000

When this song was released of course I was much younger and I always wondered the actual story these serious yet so complex lyrics held in the door behind the actual song. The forceful way that the lead singer (Carl) actually sang this one gives you no choice but to feel this man on every level (especially in the first verse when the guitar strumming actually hits), Which is something that the music industry is missing now a days, a select few artists can connect with what they are feeling, but disconnect is everywhere when the artist is given a song and is told "Sing"...So here's to hoping that connection in the music industry comes back once again... (Connection from the artist to the song to the audience ='s number one songs all over people)

..We love you Alonzo!
