The Colombian Pop Queen arrived in Haiti Sunday to search for suitable land to build a new school. According to timeslive.com, the singer waved to onlookers and greeted infants living on a Haitian golf course that has turned into a sprawling makeshift camp for 50, 000 quake survivors.
The Colombian singer’s organization Barefoot Foundation will work with Architecture for Humanity to construct a school that will give children in the area the opportunity to “learn and thrive.” While in Haiti, the singer visited with children in camps and met with actor Sean Penn.
