Erykah Badu Covers Vibe Magazine....
In this bare it all cover Erykah talks nakedness and the importance of having a good partner...
"I look at some other videos. I’m not naming names, because I don’t want that to be mentioned. There is the thing with sexuality. I’m naked for 13 seconds, and these people are naked the whole time and gyrating and saying come “lick on my lollipop,” and “suck on my cinnamon roll,” and, you know, suggesting sex. People are uncomfortable with sexuality that’s not for male consumption. Could be ‘cause I did it in public too. Do you think people would have been complaining if I had on high-heel shoes?"

She makes a great point
ReplyDeleteEven though there other videos thats displaying sex she was naked in a public area and thats different
ReplyDeleteErykah you cant say that you were nude in front of kids in public atleast rap videos are fantasy what you did was real Erykah
ReplyDeleteErykah can say that atleast she was making a point but there is no point to licking lollipops and so on
ReplyDeleteCool cover I like it but Im gonna be buying Nicki's version
ReplyDeleteI want to agree with Erykah but I cant I think she was out of line for her video.I would mad as hell if I had my kid at the park and she come walking out naked the public did not need to see that
ReplyDeleteMs.A what do you think?
ReplyDeleteErykah actually has a valid point you guys. I think in her video she was trying to express her sexual liberation I.e showing that there is nothing wrong with the human body in a form of 'art'. As opposed to certain videos that show nakedness suggesting only sex and not the 'Act' of liberation or art but the act of sex. Now I didn't say this was ok to do in front of children/people in a random area but I see where she is coming from. If she was naked in the video saying come taste the treat or something obscene like that then this video would've been taken to a whole different area but I see where she is coming from completely.
ReplyDeleteI mean I'm not trying to get naked and express my liberation in front of ya'll but hey to each his own.
ReplyDeleteI dont agree with the public nudity but atleast the song is about something
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Ms.A
ReplyDeleteMs.A the more naked the morenfun I think we should have a lets get naked party LOL
ReplyDeleteA naked party would be great I will bring the drinks :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Ms.A and I see where she is coming from but I dont agree in the way she expressed her liberation at other people's expense
ReplyDeleteLMFAO!
ReplyDeleteWHYYY Is my blog now trying to have a nakes sexual liberation party? I swear only you guys...
ReplyDeleteIts sad how someone had to mention Nicki's cover were discussing real music right now with Erykah lets keep that fake shit out of this Erykah is music Nicki is trash
ReplyDeleteI see Erykah's point of view and I love it
ReplyDeleteWho said anything about Nicki they just said that they were going to buy her cover.....Hell I'am going to buy Nicki's before Erykah's but I still own Erykah's CD isint that what matters
ReplyDeleteNaked Sexual Liberation Party YES! lets do it and invite some of your models of the day and we have a party
ReplyDeletethats exactly what matters!
ReplyDeleteBut seriously I see where Erykah is coming from
ReplyDeleteI smell hater and it stinks
ReplyDeleteLets get Naked Im all about it
ReplyDeleteI agree with Erykah the world is so closed minded
ReplyDeleteI think Erykah's cover is beautiful
ReplyDeleteErykah was out of line I think she didnt have to go nude in the public
ReplyDeleteDear Lil Kim,
ReplyDeletePlease stay off of our great blog Ms.A has worked so hard to make with the negativity. You dont care about Erykah your just trying to dog Nicki Minaj when no body is talking about her. Please stop being mad becaused your washed up and Im sure you literally cant feel your face.If you want to beat Nicki do it on wax because you look real lame now
I think Erykah was out of line nobody has to worry about if they have kids if a woman or a man will come by and get naked. But Im all for responsible liberation but dont do it to inconvienence others
ReplyDeleteLMFAO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL at the last comments
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ms.Badu she has liberation and that is something that I know people would love to have in there life.I dont think kids need to be exposed to the nudity but atleast there is a message in her song. The other female artist who get tons of spins on TV get naked for no meaning at all
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ms.A but she didnt need to get naked in public but if she wants to be liberated let her be
ReplyDeletePeople are so A,B,C 1,2,3 in this world and she was trying showcase that and give a mirror to just how people in this world are.She writes, records, and makes an amazing video for her song that has meaning and the first thing people talk about is her being naked? Listen to the music people its about art!
ReplyDeleteWere so worried about what the kids and thats ok but a kid can find porn on the internet with no meaning. But a woman who is trying to get a message across is being hung by society how sad is this. And this why real music is less and less because of restirictions that people try to place on people's ART!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ms.A I think her opinion hits it on the head
ReplyDeleteHer CD is amazing and I think that the focus should be more on that than her being naked
ReplyDeleteAndre you have no idea what your talking about you cant do what she did in the real world
ReplyDeleteKids can get porn but she put her ass on display for the world to see she is very wrong
ReplyDeleteI agree with Andre she was expressing Art but I don't agree with her randomly doing it in front of people even though kids could look it up on the internet I wouldn't want my child looking to the left and seeing a naked woman on a summer day
