Interview With B.o.B....

B.o.B, Three letters that meant nothing until Mr.Bobby Ray stepped on the scene. With the eclectic-ness that shows true spirit and talent, A rap style that differs from many of his same kind, and raspy yet melodic vocals that make you forget he's a 'Rapper'. Ms.A: SAU We finally caught up with Mr. Popular...B.o.B how are you?

B.o.B: I'm doing great how are you Ms.A? Its so good to be back on earth for a little while!


Ms.A: LOL I love it! So you have me running everywhere to catch up with you and all that talent, you ready to take a rest and chop it up with SAU?

B.o.B: I'm ready I have been waiting for this day, you have been supporting me for awhile now so I'm really happy to be sitting here with you Ms.A!

Ms.A: So lets get into it..What planet are the "Bobby Ray's" of the world manufactured? Give us some history on B.o.B

B.o.B: Well I'm from Decatur Georgia, but I was adopted by Aliens and taken to a place far far away from here LOL



Ms.A: You know some people might really believe that..

B.o.B: LOL! I have been grinding for over 5 years now, I have been putting out mixtapes underground and had an underground hit with my song Haterz a few years back. I got the attention of T.I and Atlantic records, and after a couple of label disputes Im here today, very blessed and fortunate!

Ms.A: Speaking of your song 'Haterz' (with the synthesizers of the world) flipping through the channel, I came across it and the sound is completely different from what your # 1 album 'The Adventures Of Bobby Ray' is serving us. What happened from then to now?

B.o.B: LOL Synths of the world I did go a little over board right?

B.o.B: But as an artist trying to get noticed, especially when you battle with trying to do what you believe in, and doing what you need to do to get away from Subway in my case, I felt I conformed to get noticed. Some of the songs I have I felt people would look at me like 'why is this black guy playing this guitar?' So I did what I had to do to get my deal. Then I started making the music which represents who I am, my label had a huge problem with it so that's where most of our creative differences came from.

Ms.A: understandable..

B.o.B: So throughout my career I will keep evolving into the artist that I eventually want to be.

Ms.A: You don't think who you are as an artist now is who you will eventually be in lets say 5 years?

B.o.B: Of course not if I am, I'm in trouble I a firm believer in evolving. No one should be who they are today in 5 years!

Ms.A: With the madness of "Gangsta rap" fading, where do you see the direction of Hip hop as a whole going now?

B.o.B: You know, I have always thought that 'gangsta rap' would eventually fade, but I think true artistry Will now win out. I think we're at a turning point in the industry and I think we will slowly see "Artist" starting to comeback. You won't be able to put a bunch of curse words and talk about bottle popping and girls and expect to make it.

Ms.A: So the comparisons between you and a certain rapper by the name of Andre 3000 are swirling as of late, How does Andre inspire your style? If at all?


B.o.B: Man I love Andre and he does inspire me, Ms.A do you remember the song prototype? I'm a huge fan of his, and if I can be .1 % of him ,I will feel I'm a success Ms.A.

Ms.A: Touring with Lupe Fiasco... If you can think back from the date you jumped on the tour until the last performance... How has the reaction of the crowd changed from then to now?

B.o.B: It has been crazy Ms.A are you coming to see a show?

Ms.A: you better believe it!

B.o.B: Everybody knows nothing on you, and than to have my boy Bruno on some dates with me to rock the crowd its amazing! Since the release of my CD it seems everybody knows all of the words to the songs its an amazing experience and really gratifying as an artist it shows all of the hard work has paid off

Ms.A: How are you taking your celebrity status as it grows everyday?

B.o.B: LOL you know ,I'm grounded even though I had the #1 album and song I had less than 100k in sales so to me I'm not a celebrity at all I got alot of grinding to do!


Ms.A: Airplanes ft Hailey Williams of Paramore is set to take off next...Why do you feel that should be the next single?



B.o.B: I feel that it should be the next record because.....I think its amazing I wish I had another way to put it, but from the track to Hailey it's just amazing to me and It sounds like nothing on the radio. So I think the public will respond really well to it the response has been great so far with no video ,so after we really work it we might have something special. (I hope LOL)

Ms.A: Lately the ladies have been loving B.o.B..Is there a Mrs. Bobby Ray?

B.o.B: LOL oh no there is no Mrs.Bobby Ray, just the music

Ms.A: So what does B.o.B look for in a lady?

B.o.B: I'm not picky I just want an attractive girl who loves life and want to enjoy it and someone I can just talk to and can deal with me I'm not the most regular guy on the block you know.

B.o.B: Ms.A your gonna make me blush over here!

Ms.A: If you can see that far, when all the touring, writing,and recording is done..what do you want your mark on the music industry to be?

B.o.B: WOW! You know I hope I bring joy in people life with my music that's the ultimate purpose. I'm not worried about being the greatest of all time or how great I will be or whatever its not my place to say that if people like the music than that's the ultimate satisfaction!

Ms.A: LMAO the easy way out huh B.o.B..I'll take it

B.o.B: Yeah I took the easy way out but man there all great!
